As much as I like Brasil (in Portuguese), I`m not sure they are going to win...GERMANY is at home...they may not be that strong, but they will have the home-field advantage...

Czech, France, Korea?...well, they may all go to the second round, but I dont see them go any farther than that!

Oh I so wish I could be there!!! I was home (Germany is home for me) for Christmas and you could already feel the vibe, everyone was excited about the World Cup. The Goethe Institut here in Chicago has a viewing party for the opening game, I am going to go and pretend I know soccer (I really don't) ha ha ha

Germany won their first game, against a pretty poor Costa Rica Team...that has only one good "offensive weapon" player, Wanchope!

I don`t think the Germans will go far...probably out after the second round!

Maybe it was only costa rica..but we won comfortably and the best player was not on the team.

And JREMINATOR for me I would choose Gerrard over Ronaldinho. I understand people choosing the other way round aswell though. Nobody can beat people like Ronaldinho, but that's all he does. Gerrard, can score from close, can score from 30 yards, can pass perfectly over 60 yards, can tackle, and is not slow either. Look at Liverpool, Gerrard is the team. He is much more a player for the team.

And yes..Gerrard is much better than Iniesta and Riquelme. :roll:

With Brazil you can talk about Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano, Robinho etc...but they have no defense, its all old players like Cafu and Carlos lol. :lol:
The England defense is certainly better than Brazil...and England has clearly the best defender in the world - john terry.

I do watch all European countries JREMINATOR lol, I just think Gerrard offers more than everybody else, plays centre mf, right mf and also the shadow striker like Rooney does. Riquelme did play AWESOME yesterday though vs Côte d'Ivoire, must be said lol. The pass to Saviola was 100% perfect.
