If we have a fat tax, then maybe we should have a stupid tax. Don't like it? Go get an education. Or alcoholics should be taxed. Don't like it? Get sober. The list could go on.... Taxing certain individuals is discrimination. The only fair thing to do is charge an individual for the space they take up. One seat, one ticket. Two seats, two tickets.
South Carolina's government actually proposed something interesting -- they will give free memberships to the gym for people who are obese as a means to lose weight and encourage them. I don't have all the details, but I think the incentives involve discounts to all health-based products across the state and even some places to be damn near free or absolutely free. I haven't followed up with the story, but it would be good for other states to follow if they haven't done so. Maybe not so much of government involvement as much as businesses. But then again, the former would be more encouraging since people would expect some tax deductions each year.
DO you know how they decide this? If there are 3 persons in this situation, but only two seats go unsold, how do they determine who gets refunded? The people whom bought their tickets first?
Yeah you are wrong. This is about weight, not fat. A 230pd 6'4" muscular man will pay more than a 5ft 220pd fat man. How the heck did this even go there in this thread...:smt017
Why do you too bother posting if youre soooo sensitive about this? It boggles the mind. Its like you WANT to be offended
