The Hollywood people are creative experts, why do you think that a lot of movies come out where they can't come up with creative relationships, possibly of mixed race relationships? I know there are movies like those listed in the "Resources" section, like "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" but the majority of movies are what we would expect? Majority, white male/white female? When they are writing the script for a movie and they manufacture a relationship, they don't normally specify the race of the male and female? Same thing with commercials, is it too much for America too handle to even imagine "make-believe" interracial relationships?
That time is slowly coming, we all just have to be patient that's all. There will one day be a cultural phenomenon where IR relationships will greatly expand and become global. It's already happening now but some people both black and white of the "old guard" are trying to keep it under wraps. Pretty soon there is gonna be an influx of light-complexioned people in the future and you won't know who is what as far as their race is concerned. At the same time you won't even care what their race is because it will have already become common-place. Just wait and see. :smt045
Don't hold your breath. Despite the fact there is some IR movies there is a reticence of writers and producers to write and make IR flicks. A person who wants it would had to make it his or herself.
This is a Canadian commercial with an interracial couple: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inIufZb5wUk&feature=related I was really suprised when I first saw it. But I guess we're just avant-garde, here in Canada! LOL
