Dallas Cowboy tight end Martellus Bennett and a friend made a YouTube video titled the "Black People Olympics" where a speed, fried chicken eating contest took place.

    Any thoughts?

well, it was at least good clean fun with no drugs, alcohol or sex.. a bit sophmoric.. but hey, they had fun. Posting it , another Q.

To me, its not "black food" - its "southern food"....

Yes, it had some funny parts, but overall it was a terrible movie.

About the black olympics..I don't know why exactly.Maybe because of the way those 2 made the clip I didn't really "feel" it too much.I mean yea I get that kool aid ,chicken and water melon are the stereotypes they make jokes of but watching it didn't really have me falling on the floor laughing at all.

yeah, kinda embarassing...not only does he play for the Cowboys but he played college ball at Texas A & M and is a native of the state....if he was trying to...in some way...soften the blow of stereotypes a-la using the means rappers and other blacks used to soften the "N" word....I don't think it had the intended consequence...and I'm not quite sure he was even trying to do that

Oh wow I didn't know he was an at least somewhat known athlete....in such a position he should be more of a role model than what was shown in the clip

    lol

he's been in more than a few films that featured black actors. I remember him as Eddie Murphy's new partner in a cop film (not the beverly hills series). Forgot the name of it. He was also in Next Friday.

you are right, it was just funny to see his name there.. I read it and didnt react... went on to something else and my brain engaged "no wait a minute, did I see that?" so I had to go back and look again..
    I do love Spike Lee!

the movie is called Metro, btw

just looked it up on IMDB

    Eddie and Mike were partnaz

I was just pointing out that you seen the guy in other black movies, which is probably why spike gave him the nod as a 'negroe' actor
