Well we are seeing the tide turn in this Almo afterall as Obama tells Turkey's government to step back if you aren't willing to step up . . . :smt068
We have dropped in military supplies and medicine for the Kurdish forces of Kobani and we don't give a damn if Turkey doesn't like it :smt038

We really could not afford to lose this town to a ISIL slaughter . . . the backlash would have been overwhelming and it would have set Obama back tremendously in this military mission as the American allied people of the region would have never embraced us as an ally again. What are we fighting for if not to stop the gangrape of 12-year old Kurdish virgins and the decapitations of myriad men? This could be a turning point for morale in the region to finally deliver a defeat to ISIL

I haven't been looking much into isis, but there is a belief that we 'created' them with our wars in the Middle East

Say what you want tho about the reasons we go to war, if we really ran out of natural resources and people's livelihoods were fucked up because of it, we would be going to war anyway

Some info of just what a Kurd is

I never learned in school much at all about these people but I remember how Bush got them all gassed up to overthrow Saddam . . . and they abandoned them to actually get gassed in a massacre after Desert Storm absent U.S. military assistance. They have always been pro-America and pro-Christian: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-29702440?ocid=socialflow_twitter

With sufficient ground support perhaps these coalition air strikes against ISIS will become more efficient: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx-jd3w7kPU&feature=youtu.be
