I may loose some points with the fellas on this one and yet it has to be said. I have gone thru many of these threads and one theme seems to be consistent that the subject of slavery comes up a lot and oppression. And the white women on this site having to try to defend themselves and their entire race. All I'm saying brothers have some sense of empathy you are attracted to these women and they are attracted to you so why would you want to put them thru a guilt trip. And I know they may not understand why we have the chip on our shoulders maybe because the police pulled us over and hassled us.
Or we didn't get the job they we was qualified for but we didn't get it because you are black. Or women clinching the purse or being followed in the store sometimes we bring those issue here. And if one of the ladies here say something racially insensitive explain to her what she said that maybe offensive to you or others. Don't jump down her throat bringing up 400 years of slavery remember take the time of labor of love and just talk without the hostilities. After all this society is against your union fight against those haters with love and understanding don't add to the conflict of your relationship. The white women on this site or any other site don't want to feel guilty all the time for what her ancestors did. They come here because their interested in us not to have a debate on race or called oppressors. :smt014

I really don't care if anyone holds anything against me. If you hold any opinion in this world some one will come along to refute that opinion.

Great thread. I wish more black men would try to see the views from these ladies who put themselves on the line for them. As i have told my past lady friends, I was honored to be their friend, because they at least gave me a chance to know them

Personally as a black american of haitian descent I dont want or need to bring strife like that into a relationship with a white woman .
Do I want her to understand yes but also to know dont be guilt just be aware of things of history .
But for her to also know that she is not her ancestors their were individuals who had their own way of thinking.
Also not to make their actions her guilt ,also i wanna add white women did not enslave or wish to enslave anyone .
Even the most racist wretched gun ho aryan twisted white woman still wouldnt want to enslave anyone .

Also in history in this country life was very very rough for a white woman if she got divorced or became a widow she could not own land or make her own money .
Most times they had to either own a brothel or become a prostitue very few white women rose above the social norm of white men own everything and white women own nothing policy .

Wild west had many white women heroes who fought againt the policy and were tough as nails .
Case inpoint fredrick douglas wife fought against the policy and social norm she was one of the first feminist and one of the trend setting women to marry a black man over white .

I disagree when you said that white women in here are not oppressing or enslaving black people. You have to understand that if one has reaped the benefits of those past injustices (to say nothing of ongoing discrimination in the present) by being elevated, politically, economically and socially above persons of colour, which whites as a group surely have been thanks to enslavement, Indian genocide and Jim Crow, then whether or not one did the deed becomes largely a matter of irrelevance.

But most if not all of the white women in hear will deny there privilege, then again, that's logical, because for them to admit that they have received have privileges is to almost acknowledge that they are, at some level, implicated in the process by which others are oppressed or discriminated against. Also I hope no-one is silly enough to say "But..but black people sold slaves too" as if that would make blacks every bit as culpable as the folks whose wealth was built by the slave system; as if Europeans had only come to Africa for the weather, and had been coerced into the transatlantic slave trade.

And also remember, that whites love to live in the past, so long as it's a past that makes them feel good and shows them as heroes. So whether its waxing emotional about the greatness of their founding fathers, or waving an US flag, or prattling on about some ancestor who died in nam, the point is the same : To lift up the past and to remain stuck there, at least for a while. But let anyone suggest the less noble side of that same past and watch how quickly history gets relegated to the ashbin of the irrelevant.

Finally - Why do white people get angrier at black people for pointing out white racism than they do at white folks for practicing it ? Do they not see that the reason they have so much anxiety about how someone might call them a racist if they say the wrong thing, is because they've been so silent in the face of white racism ? Most, if not all of the white people in here DO AND SAY NOTHING when they see or hear racism from family and friends, yet they will come in here and tell us to get over it or we have a chip on out shoulder. Maybe if they were to challenge the racism that they hear, the racism would not be out there.

Know most of the 'white people in here' personally do you, been around their families, heard how they interact with family members? If not, then you shouldn't generalize. I would suspect that by virtue of being here they are in fact less likely to tolerate racism from anyone, and I know personally I wouldn't hesitate to correct anyone I heard making racist comments, whether they were related to me or not.

I am well aware of the privilege I benefit from. I confront racism when I hear it. Luckily that does not occur within my family, however, as no one in my family is racist.

No one in my family's pro-rapist, either, coincidentally enough, too bad the people in UKBlack's family can't say the same.

There is something wrong with you, call social services, have a talk with your Doctor, I read the condoning rape thing you posted, you need something.

I'm not going to be nice to you, I don't mind people who don't interracial date being around or even the white men or black women, I don't give a shit, but I find what you write much more bothersome.

I think you should go fuck yourself, but definitely not someone else.

I shall now put you on ignore.
