Texas to execute man in notorious dragging death http://news.yahoo.com/photos/texas-...ows-gravesite-james-byrd-photo-173514992.html Even after all of these years have passed, my heart still hurts for James Byrd & his family. RIP.
Indeed. People like that are just nasty little roaches festering this planet with hate and sickening delusions of supremacy.
This piss-poor lifeform does not deny committing this heinous atrocity -- it embraces the slaughter of an Afr-Am man. Hope there's plenty of room in hell for this useless lifeform. It can finally shake hands with its BFF -- Satan  The Kid Rasta
I have to say, though, that I am surprised that the process happened so quickly, indeed that it's happening at all. Especially in Texas, with a less than vigorous track record of prosecuting white-on-black racially motivated crimes. P.S.: 2 things that stood out in the Yahoo linked article: 1) even after conviction, they are still referring to the murderer as a "purported" white supremacist. 2) Note the fact that Mr. Byrd's tombstone had to be fenced in for protection. Damn. Even in death he isn't granted peace.
Justice is served. So interesting that both of these cases happened on the same day... with such different outcomes (we pray)... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/21/lawrence-russell-brewer-executed_n_974926.html
Even though I have no sympathies for this guy, I still don't support the death penalty even for the offenders that are actually guilty. It isn't justice. It's another form of revenge IMO, even though I understand the anger and the sense of revenge. To me there's no point. The damage is already done and it isn't going to bring the victims back. Nothing will change. I read that Byrd's son said that Brewer's death isn't going to repay his father's death. And don't get me started on who knows how many innocent people might've been executed. Also how does this make us look as a nation? One that advocates human rights(not to mention some of us calling ourselves pro-lifers). Also I believe the death penalty is the easy way out. I think spending life in prison with out parole(especially in solidtary)is much worse. If I had to choose between the death sentence or that(if I was actually guilty that is)then I rather take the needle in my arm. I also don't believe in an afterlife or that they will burn in hell for eternity, but that's just me.
not sure how i feel about it to be honest, over here in england we have no form of death penelty, i hear people wanting to bring back hanging over here, and the vote they had it on had a high percentage for yes which was pretty freaky, such things get said due to stuff thats happend to peoples loved ones, there has been fathers killed by groups of kds because they were told to move on or keep quiet, and some of the partners call for hanging to be brought back even with the rioters, some woman at a town hall meeting was shouting to bring back hanging aswel, i thought that was just dumb
no its not. if it was then why didnt charles manson and those women get the death sentence ? where is tirkah the little bitch to answer that ?
