Hello Im in Houston, TX. Just moved here a year ago from California. Wondering what took me so long to get here. As I posted in another thread, Ive been here before but it was many years ago and I really wasnt that significant of a poster. I dont recognize any of the names except two people. I dont want to pull down the curtains, hang from the chandeliers, puke in the corner or smash my cigarette into your carpet. Just looking to find a place where I have commonality. Thanks
Yeah, Texas can be great. Big cities like Houston are ideal imo. Some of the small towns aren't all that great.
I agree. Not my experience so far. Im not fond of El Paso or Dallas either. Both of which I have to spend a lot of time for business. But I really do love me some Houston, Georgetown, Round Rock, Austin, San Antonio. There's an overall attitude I love here and Ive never seen so many manners in my life. Spent a lot of time here as a kid visiting, but I get it more now that I live here. Especially coming from self centered, plastic California. I'll never go back.
I've never lived outside of Texas & right now I live pretty close to the Dallas area. My favorite city is Austin. Of all the places I've visited there's been no place quite like Texas.
Generally San Antonio is my favorite place to visit, but there's nothing like Austin when SXSW comes to town:smt020

LOL - I moved from H-town to LA 6 years ago (w a 1 yr stint in Seattle in-between). I really do miss people in H-town!
