I was listening to some 80's music, and "Sign Your Name" came on. Remembered the music video - it tells the story of a romantic relationship b/w him and his white lover. The same woman is in his other video for his big song, "Wishing Well." I was only six years old in 1987, but I remember watching the "Sign Your Name" video a few years later. It was the first IR relationship I witnessed (even if it was just for a video - I don't know if they were lovers in real life or not, though I was curious cause she was in both of his two main music videos). Mmm, he looks really good in the scene of him on his bike looking up at the apartment window.

Here's a link to "Sign your name:"

Found out Terrence changed his name to Sananda Maitreya and is married to a white German woman.

Honestly, i used to think this guy was gay  . He just seemed so effeminate to me. Glad to see he's getting his "swirl" on.

Too bad his career never became what it should have. He has a voice that would blow most other singers right off the stage.

He's way more talented than a lot of these "fake soul artists" out today.

I've never heard anyone question his sexuality before, though I noticed in his videos that sometimes he appears almost feminine, and at other times, very masculine. Several people did make rude comments on the youtube site about his lighter skin tone. I've heard that lighter-skinned bm sometimes have it tough and are seen as less masculine than darker skinned bm. Personally, I prefer the lighter skinned/brown skintones to darker shades.

I agree. He tried to change his style and messed up. I still get all tingly when he sings the "I'd rather be in Hell with the baby that we could have had" line.
