Good point and no one makes a frickin peep about that shit or Iman or Grace Jones or Tia Mowry or Hallie Berry or Stacey Dash. All who have been in "black" films and tv shows. Oh and the big one Sina Lathen or Kerry Washington who openly say they only date white men but made the bulk of their fortune in "black" movies Love and Basketball. I guess black men are suppose to just take whatever is thrown at us and shut the fuck up.

Exactly, hell Sanaa Lathan starred opposite Taye in Love and Basketball.

People need to kill that noise on these subjects.

I don't feel any black actor or actress owes shit to me as a black person, that doesn't impact or affect my life.

Some folks need to figure out what's important.

You would figure by now they would get the message, a man and damn sure a black man is going to do whatever the fuck he wants in his personal life, I damn sure do.

Nothing or no one will influence my choices about personal matters.

Didn't you get the memo? We're not supposed to even "think" about dating a white woman and god forgive us if we ever decide to date or marry one. lol

Hollyweird and society's double-standards got the game all fucked up.

He is a very smart and literate man. I am really happy for him, his wife and child.

Also, I read a comment about her not having a Hollywood career- she is on Broadway, why would she need Hollywood? In Hollywood you don´t need talent but on the Broadway you have to have talent. When you are on the Broadway you have already achieved what a great dancer/singer/actor wants to achieve- you are on the top.
Hollywood is a completely different field. Actos that sometimes change between movies/tv and broadway agree that standing on stage is not the same.
I don´t say that Hollywood stars aren´t talented- but you don´t have to have talent to be in a movie.
Success has nothing to do with everyday fame. Hollywood loves to market people, you will see them everywhere. Broadway is all about talent, if you are interested in a good play/orchestra/actors with good on stage education/singers with extraordinary strong voices you don´t care about gossip, who is dating who, what dress did she wear last- it is only talent that counts.

You need talent for both. Hollywood is just a different arena from Broadway.

Hollywood is way more about luck. I can think of ten overrated and talented actors right now. Broadway requires talent or you'll get passed over.

not a lot of people will argue the professionalism of Broadway

it's reputation has long been accepted

look at how many suck ass movies come out of 'hollywood,' and the quality of acting some people put in. Christian Bale is an exception, because he's actually a very gifted person. He speaks multiple languages and really throws himself into his oft-varying roles, and does them well. Same for Hugh Jackman. If i'm not mistaken, Hugh actually did/does plays on stage. Unlike a movie's special effects to hide behind, the stage shows how good an actor really is at portrayal.

Nothin wrong with what Diggs said if you listen to the whole clip in context. Sway even agreed with him. Is he a sellout too? His basic point is that we love who we love. Anyone who disagrees with Taye on that is--well--bigoted.

he wouldnt be able to lead a play on Broadway

you'd need a ton of special effects, shirtless scenes, and anything else you can think of

it's not his fault tho...it's the attention span of most americans

how else do you explain the rise of people like Snooki?

c'mon, why was she speaking at Rutgers instead of someone of higher standing and accomplishment?
