That's what I said in my post too, Jordan. Stage is the place a lot of actors aspire to; there's nothing like a live audience. Sitting around on a movie set all day so you can speak 4 lines sixty times is not a lot of fun. Acting is a lot more interesting on the stage.

No one can say why anyone is at a particular stage in their life or career unless they personally know them (and even then you're just guessing).
So all this talk about why she is where she is (or is not where everyone thinks she should be) is ridiculous. No one here has any clue and everyone is just guessing and trying to make an argument for their own cause.

What argument? Google her she's the fricking queen of broadway I don't get why some people try to make her look like some struggling has been trying out for dancing with the stars.

I know what she is. Any fan of Taye Diggs knows about Idina. :) She has a great career. Just saying that it's silly to talk about celebs as if we know them.

He's promoting his new children's book and was asked a question about how his family reacted to him bring home a white woman. It he didn't start it, he just answered a question.

Yep they were the one's on DJ Sway's radio show that broached the subject to him about white women.

He didn't start preaching a doctrine about white women to them, it was asked and he gave an answer from his personal experience and characteristics growing up as a young man, qualities even his mother saw reflected early on by her statement to him.

He was being honest and straight up about things in his life, he should have easily just given a PC line about happening to just find the one you love I guess.

No she is the type you do write home about. Girl is a true beauty

He just answered a question that's all. America it seems still has a lot of healing and growing up to do when it comes to race.

There is absolutely no question about that. America is either like a toddler who has missed a nap, or an angst-ridden teenager. It has not developed the overall maturity of older nations on a lot of topics, race high on the list among them.

That may be the case but what about the many black stars that have been in the entertainment industry and catered to a black audience whether it is the movies or music and they have spouses of other races, both black men and women.

He is an actor, that is his job, but he doesn't have to be beholden to what he does on screen in his personal life.

Take for example Diana Ross, hasn't she married white men and her career is based on Motown that identified with black music.

Just an example. People's personal lives are just that.

Us black folks need to get over that provincial mentality about these things. Dude is an actor playing a role, that's it.
