San Francisco is quickly becoming one of the most unaffordable places to live. Teachers can't even afford to live in the school districts they work in.

This wouldn't have happened if she had a union. Also, if a company can't afford to pay it's lowest full time employee a livable wage, then that company's business plan is flawed and they can't afford to be in business.

They'll either automate or outsource her job they clearly don't give a fuck. The unfortunate thing about business in general is the bottom line. Fuck how it effects people. I am waiting for that tipping point when consumers can longer afford the products being produced. What happens to the world economy then? Just full time war?

    I respectful disagree.

Come on man, Walmart and the likes would of been folded if this was true. Their was merit to what this chick speak of, but she was also a self entitled new age cunt. Nobody forced her to take that job and she has the complete free will to move else where where her her pay is on par with her skills.

This is coming from a guy who has worked nothing but entry level jobs all his life.

You also live in an affordable city. It's insane to expect people to commute 40 miles a day to work and at the end of the day not even make enough to have the basics like food and shelter and this is coming from someone who makes a decent salary and sees it as a human right.

I'm sure this chick is eligible for state aid and government assistance.

Depends on the city like you've been to NY and its getting insane out there, too many people to giving everyone aid. That's I have mad co-workers living in other states like Jersey and Connecticut. And that aid comes with a minimum income requirement so I'm sure at 25k a year she probably doesn't qualify, they usually want you to be below the poverty line. In some cases you're just better off not working.

Okay, I don't think I was clear on my point. What I'm trying to say is if a company can't pay it's workers a living wage then it's problem and they should not be in business.

The only thing you should to do to be able to live a decent life is be willing to work a 40 hour work week. There is a problem in our society that we think everyone has to get higher education just to be able to live. Any company that can't afford to do that should not be in business. This is why income in-equality is such a problem.
