I haven't watched it in at least a season & a half. I got so sick of the graphic scenes of Black Men getting tortured or killed. If they balanced it out a little, maybe included one or two Black Male characters once in awhile that weren't just evil meat destined for slaughter, maybe I could hang, but after that ep with the killing of the rogue demon hunter, I was done. I think sometimes that shit is intentional, like they intentionally cast Black actors in roles of characters that will have horrible things happen to them, like maybe there's some segment of the audience getting off on that creepy shit.

I shudder to think what happened in the finale that has you upset.

The vast majority of people getting slaughtered in Supernatural are white and they do have black charachters that are recurring.

I didnt see the finale - must have missed it:-(

Yes. And the 100% total of characters not getting slaughtered (at least until I stopped watching) were White. What's your point?

At the time I stopped watching, the only recurring Black Male character was a rogue demon hunter that they tortured. Not impressed.

You're right. I seriously didn't mean to shit on your thread. Reading your post, I thought they'd gone and done something really bad on the show, and that was why you were posting. I was trying to agree, like "yeah, fuck that show. That show's been on a fucked up path for awhile."

    I completely misread you.

I don't hold anything against anyone for watching it. I watched years of Buffy & Angel, and they were notorious for the same shit, but I was already hooked on the shows. It's so common to so many of the shows in this genre, and unfortunately for me it's one of my favorite genres, so I kinda didn't have any patience at all by the time I started watching Supernatural. If I was 10 years younger (holy crap it makes me feel old to type that), I would probably be watching it every week.

Sorry again for crapping around & derailing your thread. My bad.
