So you're a superhero, either by an accident or from a distant planet, imbued with powers that can be of a great cause for peace or for a great and tyrannical disaster in which you rule with an ironclad fist. New to the public, and an unshakable person to not forget, the denizens of your community would show a great deal of fear and uncertainty. Such questions will be raised, including the following: "Why is this god-like entity here?" "What's your purpose for being here?" "Are you good? Evil?" "You're here to destroy or to bring a better tomorrow?" Realistically speaking, people are generally a panicky bunch and would sough to run from what they don't know. So I have to ask, if any of you were to presume to the role of the superhero... How will you exercise your power? A force for the community or a force for yourself? Will you make your identity public or private? Fight in the open or in secrecy? Do you want the gain the public's trust? Or simply dismiss the governing rules and instill your own brand of law? I'd personally would love to hear everyone's opinion on the matter. There are no wrong answers, just the personal convictions and shared stories and opinions you wish to bring onto the table. So, in this respect, let us have this well-rounded and thought-provoking discussion.
If I had acquired superpowers, I would first understand how to use them. And when I use them it will be when it is needed and not exploited or used foolishly. Like a Jedi Knight, I would not use my power in anger. I will understand that humans that do not have these abilities are fragile and will not strike against them if we disagree. I will not call myself God because I have these abilities. I will use my abilities to help people when I can.
