Don't get your panties in a bunch, I feel you. I was actually just thinking of the Michigan woman this morning, but you're right about the media not following up for shit. Very sad

    This is very sad.....
.....The outcome could not be worst for the family of this this girl and for the police department........Had the criminal survived, the law is such that he would have been charged with her murder.........this is why judges throw the book at hostage related gun crimes because it always complicates the chance for peaceful resolution........

most of the shootings they are giving off like 5 or 6 a piece. that's why with all the police shootings( sean bell, amadou diallo, etc) it will be like 41 shoots divide by six officers. unfortunately it's standard procedure.

why even answer the door? I'm a grown-assed man and if I'm not expecting anyone & don't recognize the person through the peephole, I don't even say who is it.... I just walk away. Then they just walk away.

    Say what?
Maybe shitty ones. A decent Remmington or even Mossburg starts at 500

    under 300

when i bought my guns, i did a lot of research

you would be surprised how low decent weapons can be if you know where to get them

i wouldn't suggest buying from a gun shop until you shopped around and let them know you can get it cheaper

lots of places mark-up the prices..but you can negotiate a bit especially if they sell something 'new' and you see scratches or whatever

all that brings down the value of a gun and you will see that if you buy/sell/trade guns

Well here in my city, they walk away to go around the back or the side, to break in.

And that's when I walk away too...to get my gun. :?

like i wrote before, this is NORMAL for Temple U

it's situated in a rough area of the city and student housing areas are notorious for being broken into

Yup, and the same for U of Penn in West P.

Lasalle isn't too bad even though some parts of W Mt Airy can be crime-ridden.

But Temple is also close to Broad & Erie. Hate waiting to catch Septa there at night..shit during the day, even.

not if they know someone is in there (by the peephole activity).

Crooks don't want trouble. They don't know if it's a little girl, or someone with a shotty.

you can purchase online and ship to a federally licensed dealer (aka any gun store)

the dealers charge a fee sometimes..like 10 or 15 buck..but you'd still end up saving

I too was surprised at how better the prices were when looking online, versus actual gun stores

the stores mark up the prices so much, it's not funny

funny thing about U of Penn is that the immediate area isnt that bad

bike patrols and uniformed police be out like a mothafucka

but it's like once you cross 44th or 46th street & walnut, that shit is HOOD

you dont see penn police, campus security or anything

    that's straight West Philly
