Maybe I've missed something along the way, but lately, it seems that discussions on many of the threads in our community have turned into insulting attacks, inflammatory language and total disrespect for the opinions of those who disagree with our opinions...

Maybe I live in a Utopia where civil, objective conversations without the name calling and disrespect are the norm...

We can agree to disagree without the antagonism, baiting, and personal attacks...

We all come from different backgrounds, different places, have had different experiences even if we lived next door to one another...

To bring about understanding, dissolve the myths that continue to perpetuate in the world outside, and to hold constructive dialogue, we need to be more tolerant of the other members of this forum without resorting to throwing stones, name calling and inciting conflict.

In short, we need to stop the madness and hate!

The time factor is relative... but the facts stand... the negativity has been growing and infecting the spirit of constructive dialogue....

The way I see it, this is a solace where we meet in the middle and leave our egos outside to recollect upon departure... In other words, come in here naked and true to a cause of finding understanding..... Cause understanding is mellow....

There are people here that log onto this site strictly to shit on other people who have opinions that differ from their own, and do not in anyway ever put forth any constructive dialogue or opinions, like the individual who probably caused the OP to make this thread.

It could start with us. To begin with just ignore the destructive criticisms and respond to the constructive ones.

A lot of us here do just that for the most part, but even when you do ignore the negative responses it seems to come across to those who make them as "acceptance" of their negativity. It's a no win damn if you respond to them, damn if you don't respond situation for the most part.

If only it were that easy... If one poisons the water or air we all breathe, aren't we all affected somehow?

IMO, personal attacks and name calling are totally uncalled for... signs of immaturity, lack of sensitivity, and perhaps insecurity... But since we all "breathe" the air or "drink" the water of this community, simply ignoring a negativism that seems to perpetuate and grow from one thread to another makes it difficult to move on to the next step in growing and sharing...

Imma need a couple of you "MEN" to chill out. This is how adult talk, how we relate, how we communicate.

And that right there is the problem. That's something others can't fix for those that fall into that category because they probably see it as normal acceptable behavior.

Sad, but true. I'm all for discussion, even heated discussion, but insults, name calling, and deragatory remarks are just immature and uneccessary.

Even on forums with strict rules there are still trolls and assholes. The only way to fix the negativity that people seem to exhude when they've got anonymity on their side is to ban without mercy, and then you piss off the people who enjoy watching the drama. And that means a lot of mods and a lot of people bitching about freedom of speech and whining about being banned and censored. And even then trolls show up on occasion, and regular members get mad and say something stupid, annd shit happens. People in general are pretty mean and it comes out when they're beyond punching distance and you don't know their address. It's safe to be a dick online. This shit ain't new...porn ad trolls have been around since the dawn of the internet

There are some new (and pretty) faces in the crowd. Men tend to tone it down when there is eye candy in the mix.

just until they remember that cyber sex isnt nearly as good as the real thing. it would explain why it tends to cycle, with newbs entering with pleasantries and then things turning a 180 which produces a lot of comments about how things used to be better. Like bruh ajax said, it's been the same for at least a few years.

As long as you have people who are passionate and strong in conviction, then expect a bloodlust of attacks from all ends of the spectrum. Civilized discussion could ensue, but it would require some form of lobotomy for it to take form. Having said it, neuter the part of the brain which operates emotion and simply keep technical.
