Stand by your man? are yoiu kidding me?

I am neutral in a way on this. Please hear me out:

1. What would probably not make me IN THIS CASE stick with my partner is the publicness of the whole thing

2. Number one being said, each relationship is unique and I try not to pass judgment

3. I have been on the other side and hated what I did, was given forgiveness and never did it again. People can change behavior IF THEY WANT TO and WORK AT IT and MAKE AMENDS as best as they can. Rebuilding broken trust is a monumental task. Maybe Weiner has hit rock bottom and will change maybe not, but it is also her choice to take the risk or not.

 

These are all valid points, especially #2.

In this situation, for Weiner to be caught with his pants down twice, literally and figuratively, I think he should take himself out of the mayoral race and take the time to sort things out with his wife. Get counseling. This makes him look terrible but it puts her in an even worse light. He asked for the fallout he's getting - she's suffering humiliation she never asked for.

 

Agreed that he is not currently in the position to run for mayor.

It's honestly about time. The backwards comments that get flung at the women around here are appalling. Maybe I'm naive to think that this site should be more about empowering and supporting each other, and less about men vs women? Seriously the way some of these dudes talk about women makes me wonder why they're even fucking with us. Seems they'd be happier in a world of all men.

Not surprised, but definitely frustrated. It's funny how if a woman chooses not to stick around when her husband strays (physically or emotionally), she's looked at as not honoring her commitment to the marriage, but the man who sends dick pics is all good because "at least he's not out fucking some other chick". I honestly don't understand how men with this way of thinking find any relationship above stray pussy.

Relationships are about equality...if you're not committed then just be honest about it. Let your partner have those same freedoms, if that's the relationship you're looking for.

It's kind of funny/ironic how multiple offender Clinton got an eventual pass and forgiveness by the majority populous, though. And his still wife Hillary is kinda revered politically to the point she may be deemed fit (in judgement) to be our next President.

 

Saw The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell last night and he mentioned the hypocrisy of the media on the Weiner pix scandal. He had mentioned former Mayor Guilliani's affair with his ade and he had to move to a flat own by two gay men and the first Clinton scandal of Gennifer Flowers. There was no hoopla of the NY Press of having them step down and give up. Showing photos is not a big thing since he has not met those women in real life. If Weiner did that boy,he will be really have his butt out of the running. As for the hypocritical conservatives they should answer why Mark Sanford and David Vitter survived of scandals in which they really had sex with women. Bliss,Mrs.Vitter did the same like Hillary did.
