Sorting out my feelings and expectations

Unfortunately, that's not the case, these terms are not simply descriptive - they are tantamount to racial labels (White = Caucasoid, Black = Negroid) . And I agree wholeheartedly with ronald, I also believe that accepting racial labels will reinforce a concept which has no scientific basis at all, namely the concept that we are not equal, but that we are different "species" based on our appearance. I also fiercely believe that in order to get rid of "racism" you have to get rid of the concept of different "races" first. Anything else is like trying to cure the symptoms while you keep on nurturing the disease.

 

The funny thing is with some people it's race and with others it's skin color.

I still think it's funny.

 

Good stuff, Silver. My sentiments exactly. This is what the majority cannot see or realize. Honestly, some couldn't care less. It's like religion, politics, etc. Everyone believes what they're told.

 

So do I.

Maybe then you tend to draw the 'urban' woman.. I have to admit, I thought the same thing Chi said. How you are caught up on not being labeled but you are labeling women. When I read your posts between Urban and Suburban, I'm more caught up in words than what you are actually trying to say. (and I'm not coming down on you either)

It's probably not the best way to distinguish certain women, but better than other terms. I guess I need to figure out a better way to describe the type of women I'm attracted to.

I too had problems to understand your different characterizations of urban and suburban women, mainly because I rather have the oposite stereotypes in my head, eg. urban people = rather well travelled, cosmopolitans, exposed to many different cultures, more openminded, and suburban/village people = rather narrow minded, knowing the world only through TV hillbilly types.

I guess my "categorization" is as silly as yours ...

I assume what you are really trying to say is that you want a women who is not superficial and who has a right head on her shoulders and her feet on the ground.
