"We wuz all in phyze. In our dancehall dyze. We were cool on cryze. And I, you, share in what was true. Who believe, do. Share in what was true. I say.(sax part)Dancehall Days, luv. (sax part)Dancehall Days, luv.(sax part)Dancehall Days." "Take your baby by the wrist. And in her mouth an amethyst. And in her eyes two sapphires blue. And you need her, and she needs you. And you need her, and she needs you. And you need her. And she needs you." Wang Chung- Dancehall Days
The chorus was, "When I, you, and everyone we knew, who believe, too, share in what was true. I say...(sax part)Dancehall Days, luv!" Sorry, my bad.
i think this works pretty much for everything from louis armstrong. in this case it s not about the accent, but he had such an unique way of singing that every song made by him doesnt sound right if someone else try to cover it.
I remember watching Ken Burns' Jazz years ago and it mentioned Louis Armstrong's drug of choice; marijuana. I could imagine that he was high while singing What A Wonderful World. Or the the holiday tune Izzat You, Santa Claus? Or his part in the recording of Porgy & Bess(well, maybe not). He was in a film called Paris Blues with Paul Newman, Sidney Poitier, Joanne Woodward and Dhianne Carroll. He makes a brief but memorable appearance in the film. He was unique.
