I am a mature minded women, for some time now i have looked for a hard working, loving, romantic blk man, sex is not the issue nor is looks it goes much deeper, I just looking for one to see me as a lady who will treat a man with utmost respect. I pray that this site does not go the way of what happened to the Mindkandy Interracial site that was extremely popular in it's day. It's now a dead site. A clique was formed on that site that shut out all forms of thought and debates. It ran off much of Mindkandy's posters and eventually killed the site. I hope that does not happen here with the decline we are beginning to see here in participation and diversity of thought.

Cliques aren't the problems with this forum. It's too many indivduals who take expressing their opinions on the internet far more seriously than they should. Can you say internet god complexes?

 

Cliques and the self righteous pricks are the two biggest probs IMO

the cliques are hypocrites at their best. I've seen people get banned for attacks that certain people do here on a weekly basis. That's why no one takes the good ole boy mods seriously

 

Personally I don't see it being that cliqued up. I do agree that there are those here who do choose to ignore attacks and other fucked up comments by certain people if that person has similar opinons & views in certain areas that may match their own or have issues with the person getting attack and are willing to let someone else do dirty work in their stead in order to not catch heat themselves. Just my take though.....:smt102

 

agreed. i can't say that i know of any cliques, though people speak of them often. i wish we could all just converse without the need to get personal and go the ol name calling route. and as a mod, i report anything that i think is not appropriate, friend or not.

 

And as another mod, I'm getting sick and tired of trying to defend myself. We do the best we can with our limited capabilities and I report posts, too.

I'm done defending my actions from here on out.

EDIT: And I also do what I can to mediate any issues, to the peril of people not liking me for it. Then there are times I just say "fuck it" because even when I try to mediate, it accomplishes nothing.

There's also a little something called self-moderating. If people practiced that more, this place would be a happier place.

 

And you rightfully shouldn't defend your actions. You as well as other mods are not expected to & should not have to be on duty 24/7 on this forum watching/catching EVERYTHING. There are plenty of non-mod posters who spend a lot of time here and don't catch alot of the things that go on here so why are you guys expected to catch everything?

 

You mods need not to defend yourselves- appreciation for your work, seriously. The problem is missing consequences for those that think the forum is their "personal, privat playground", where they are allowed to do whatever they feel like.

The forum changes since months and it will get worse, people are running out of steam to post, to fight, to defend. Some leave silent, others say good-bye officially.
