Sorry to hear about the accident, take it you are okay of course.

Yeah with the last line I wrote its just a reflection of interacting with someone across cultures, sharing with them your knowledge and learning from them, expresssing your passions and desires for each other, irrespective of cultural norms and expectations that the ordinary ho-hum is the path to follow in life.

What you and karma was talking about were hatred for black women. you can go back and look at your post and figure it out. It is not hard to figure out what karma was saying because he was said it outright. also go look at the hottest black women thread for more info. also YOU guys never stated that AW threads or talking about latin women was an insult to the WW. I never said dating a ww is a sign of self hate. I stated that the derogatory statements toward BW is a sign of self hate thus how can you hate and love at the sametime...it is impossible.

also I responded to what you stated was that putting up a black thread is an insult to white women and I want to know how so ? no ever questioned that.

why ? how do you know . are you saying that dating a ww is a sign of bravery

thank you go back to what I stated about the self hate thang. it seems to me they hate black women. they have no problem with asians, latins and whites but blacks then they have a big problem

again you have been reading . the statements were that a person (go look) stated that putting a thread about hot black women was an insult. no one questioned that but i replied it should be a compliment that men are praising the beauty of bw and people got mad.(go back and look). there was never a problem with AW threads or love for latins but when bw are discussed they are disgusting. (there is a difference between complaining and seeing them as disgusting) there is a difference between a preference and having an aversion toward them and I pointed that out.

You never answered my questions .

see above in response to girliegirl

I wouldnt disagree with you that there are people who are afraid to date outside their race because of the response of it all. thus I can agree with you on that but I will say in the same breathe your response came off as dating outside your race is a sign of a political statement or rebellion.

he dont need to be with a woman period because he has yet to be a man

I stated the samething earlier but more succintly....I said i dont date a woman because she is white for me I date her because she is right for me.

there is a difference between putting them on a pedestal and respecting them. major difference

there are bro's here that absolutely hate black women. we know who they are . there is a difference to having a preference versus have a disdainment

you never find ww showing total disrespect for wm. they just have a preference for bm for whatever reason. that means that if a wm came along and had his game tight she would more likely kick it with him but there are dudes on here if it was michele obama or someone like that they wouldnt give her the time of day because they have a disdainment for her skin

I have seen some white women that cannot stomach white men for a host of reasons and they make it known that they don't care for one. It can sometimes stem from a bad personal relationship, be it growing up or in an overbearing relationship with a former spouse, or they just have a raw preference that influences their tastes.

I don't doubt that there are dudes that hate black women, shoot, look at Youtube, black men and women are at each other's throats.

As more and more black men date interracially though they are just checking out of the black woman equation, especially if they had prior experiences that were bad.

Like I stated we are all individuals and have our own experiences that shape our thinking on such issues.

If more black women were like Michelle Obama then man we could talk, but lets be real about many of these young black women out here today, guided by only God knows what in their values and makeup. I'm often left shaking my head at some of the silliness.

Personally I don't enjoy talking about black women, I live my life and let things be. Lot of foolishness out there today, that I have no time for. I prefer to just go after what appeals to me personally.

Well said, Tam. I know this is an old thread being bumped but the environment here now seems to be very similar to when this thread was first started.

We understand that, but society doesn't understand the intent of why you pursued a relationship with a BM or someone else of a non-white descent. They can't tell and won't know whether or not it's based on love for the other person or hatred against the opposite gender of your own race. Those people can't criticize everyone they see who is in an IR, nor can those people say "there's no problem".

It's almost as if the people that have a problem with IRs that exist in society is to force people in interracial unions to have a "less fulfilling love life" compared to those who are in same race relationships.

Edit: Unfortunately, I know that if I'm dating a girl of non-black descent (beyond just white women, including Asian women, Bi-racial women, Spanish women, etc) I would still face prejudice mainly from black women because they have a fear that your dating preference is a signal that you are "abandoning the struggles of the African American community". However, it's difficult for a guy to say that he likes women and has to rule out 5 or 6 races of women due to some sort of racist standard, fears of being accused of self-hate or acts of prejudice in society. I'm still going to pursue what I want anyway because I know if I limit my choices to only BW, I won't have much of a love life/relationship life. My conclusion isn't based on self-hate, it's based on the environment I'm raised in.

well stated. while we cant control what they do out there , we can control what we say here. this forum was to (in my eyes) to lift and support those in a wwbm and at the sametime be positive to other folks of other demographics or whatever.

Makes sense. When I first joined, I felt like I was "swayed" by the others on here just to fit into their group. Afterwards, things changed and I became my genuine self a few months later.

What's bolded makes sense, but collectively our society (at least in America) can't carry it out, and this is with the concept of interracial relationships in general, not just ours.
