The Republican party isn't all that surprised. It seems like two sides of their party had been exposed and all I could think about is the film It's A Wonderful Life. In that filter, you have the everyman George Bailey, hard working, honest and trustworthy versus Mr. Potter, the richest man in Bedford Falls who owns the bank , businesses and homes. Potter has the money and influence to affect change in Bedford Falls. This was a battle of wits between two men competing for the soul of a town both of whom lived in their entire lives. The fact that so many of Trumps proposals are clearly illegal. I'd say there is a 30%-50% chance that impeachment proceedings will commence within the first 2 years of a Trump presidency.

 

If he gets in then more than likely he will not even attempt them....its just talk

 

I doubt that will happen with the GOP in control of both the House and Senate.

The GOP would have to impeach their own.

They are still sour that Nixon was forced to resign under threat of impeachment, that's why they have been on the warpath since Clinton and with Obama to try to impeach.

They want Hillary in there so they can try to impeach her.

They want revenge.

 

If the polls show Trump has a chance to win. The DNC will go into overdrive, trying to replace GOP incumbents in congress.

You have to also understand that a lot of Congessional Republicans really don't like Trump, and if he picks a running mate who is even half as nuts as him, the GOP establishment wouldn't hesitate to make the change.

 

Let's hope the GOP implodes soon.

 

THere's a greater risk his foreign policy takes us to the brink of a major international conflict, specifically over Hong Kong and Ukraine.

Those Russian jets that have been buzzing our naval ships would probably be shot at under Trump which would force Putin to retaliate.

It would only take a few moves before Trump and Putin are in a stare down over whose ICBM is the biggest.
