I did not watch the Oscars i was reading and hearing so much about this Seth Mcfarlane character and looking at clips from the oscars he was clearly not funny to me either, and many of Hollywood women didn't think so either..One actress stated "Seth MacFarlane's routine was disrespectful to women". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbrZWurGpcY&feature=player_detailpage even watching the vid here the actresses were very uncomfortable with this. Not funny!:smt019
Incredibly lame. I didn't find it 'disrespectful', but it sure as hell wasn't funny. You know that awkward feeling watching a performance that no one is enjoying...where you almost feel bad for the performer because its just that bad? That was me for the past two minutes.
Maybe if there had been something in the media about boobs or some particular rack, and the person(s) of focus had already expressedsome type humor about it, but no, not even close. I'm sure they just drew a lot of complaints from the actresses and female viewers.
The actresses featured in the video were in on the joke. As for the song itself, It wasn't particularly funny or clever.
How dare a host poke fun at people in the movie industry in the middle of their internationally televised circle jerk? Fuck these people and fuck the Oscars.
Was Seth lying tho? He didn't do a song about dicks or male asses because men don't bare them. The women should say no in the movies otherwise Seth can sing, "I seen ya boobs" LOL @ Jennifer Lawrence fist-pumping that no one's seen hers, and the Black dude perving on Naomi Watt's tits...gawd. But Kate Winslet...5 movies? Damn woman, slow down, haha. LOL @ the comment:"Just like a Family Guy skit in real life. LOLz. Can't believe he got away with it." :smt077
I found it highly amusing and cannot see how it was disrespectful to women. People take themselves faaaaar too seriously. It's like when Ricky was hosting the globes, that shit was hysterical but some actors found it offensive
This. IF you pay attention you will notice that the starlets in question have on different outfits at the actual ceremony than those reaction shots. They were in on the joke. I can agree that Seth McFarlane isn't funny. Family Guy got old for me halfway through its first season.
Funny song. It has the usual wit and timing that is found in any song heard in an episode of Family Guy. His song Everybody Needs A Best Friend was nominated for Best Song along with Adelle's Skyfall. It was not like this production(Nora Jones sung it). Charlize Theron was visibly pissed. Jennifer Lawrence got the gist of it. When Seth McFarlane wrote the classic Family Guy episode "Wishing On A Weinstein", He sung the song he wrote for it called, "I Need A Jew" for the head honchos at Fox. As you probably know, Seth McFarlane does the voice of Peter Griffin, Baby Stewie and Brian. He probably would not be considered next year. They'd probably ask Chris Rock or Hugh Jackman to host(Hugh loves to make fun of himself).
