Actually they are since Okcupid gathers a ton of data you and i would never have access to. WW generally do not respond to men of color especially bm. Freakeconomics revealed that bm had to be much higher earners than their white counterparts in order to get the attention of ww. It may not be a conscious effort like a ww are seeking these things out but it's like women who only date really tall men. They may not even realize until someone points out their patterns. Sorry in case you didn't know there is a racial hierarchy in this countrt. It's the same reason we often see sloppy out of shape ww seek out and expect to get athletic good looking bm they would never dream of dating if they were white.

I learned most of what I know about online dating from you guys on this site in lieu of experience and I have had very limited exposure to NewYork, but I've seen plenty of couples where the ww looks as if she could do better than the bm she is with as well as bm with busted looking ww, but of course my exposure is different than yours. It is quite possible that you would have a different point of view or even see more success in the dating pool if you broaden or change your exposure. You may find that southern ww are different or that you have better chemistry with them for example. Just suggesting that you be aware of the possibilities and differences in the social dynamics of different venues and how exposure shapes perception.

 

That's still very skewed. Come on, you know very well that very few people even put in what their income is on those sites and then it's questionable as to whether it is true or not. Not to mention, you are only talking about online sources. A large part of the population does not meet on line. A large number of IR couples didn't meet online, especially those who have been together for many years.

There are all sorts of different qualities that people are looking for in life. For some, it's not about the looks. And the looks comments are really subjective.

There was a thread a very long time ago about what women and men look for and most of the women in here talked about that their standards for black men were actually lower than those for white men because they were more attracted to black men.

I guess my thought is, why be concerned with those who are not interested in what and who you are? There are plenty of white women who are attracted to black men (with whatever level of income, height, values, etc). I know plenty of black men who have all sorts of different standards when it comes to what they want in a woman as well. Why focus on those who aren't into what you are, find those who are.

I'm fully aware of the racial hierarchy in this country, I live it every day.
