Sincerely, with all my heart, want to send out a THANK YOU! to my city's men and women first responders, Philly fire department, and the Philly police who instantly jumped into incredible action to save lives, and rescue the Amtrak injured.

Also, to the Philly peeps who disregarded their own safety and ran to help.
One guy alone guided and pulled 21 people out. He said he'd see this stuff in action movies but IRL, he said it's mentally changed his life

And a huge THANK YOU to our Commissioners, and Mayor, for being the glue holding it together and running a no-nonsense tight ship.

The photos of the wreckage are chilling. I haven't watched any live footage. Have all passengers been accounted for?

Yesterday, a young boy was still searching for his father, holding up a photo of him to the press.
Today cadaver dogs found an eighth body. They won't say who, but it's more than likely the dad of 2.

Nutter is no joke and takes no crap. He has his faults, but he definitely deals with this city like a stern father when needed.

I thought about you when they said it was Engineer error. Knowing how much this must relate to your work. Such a huge burden to carry, all those lives, every day. It's like being a pilot. This is sort of like a plane crash actually, but with survivors. The trauma is just as deep.

Yeah people are still alive n shit but you still have to live with the fact that people died under your command

You really have to stay on your A game while riding the rails (Engineer & conductor). FOUR eyes are better than two. Fortunately we haul freight, but here's something to think about. Had that been a freight train hauling hazardous material (chlorine), that death toll would have farrrrrrrr exceeded 8.

    Imagine...in a congested city area...:smt087

You know, there have been rumblings from day 1 that car #2 looks like a bomb hit it, but all the other cars are intact. Some people speculated terrorism.

Today, a SEPTA train driver says he was hit with a projectile just before the crash on the same route and section...and it shattered his window. (there are pics). NTSB found a similar shatter on the window of train #188.

So now the FBI have been called back to investigate this new claim from the SEPTA driver (they initially ruled out any form of terrorism was involved).

I read that the engineer refused to speak to law enforcement initially. Has he been interviewed yet?

He spoke to them today, was very co-operative...said he remembers nothing of the impact. Willingly gave them his phone..said all he recalls is leaving 30th St. Station.

Now this is technically very convenient if he is lying, however, if true, trauma can induce memory loss. It's really a strange event.

First person to file suit today was an Amtrak employee who was hitching a ride..he said he was flung about the cabin, hit his head and has head trauma, possible brain injury. His wife has also joined in his suit.

You know it's SO easy to setup an attack on crowded amtrak trains. They don't search anything before you board...I don't think I so anyway...maybe things have changed

I know that septa regional rail and local trains don't search shit...same for buses

IDK if they search passengers individually. Maybe bomb sniffing dogs peruse the stations, or random checks are made?

One of the dead victims - a CEO of a Philly Tech company - wasn't located for 2 days, even though she had texted she was on the train...
Turns out she wasn't on the passenger list because she purchased a 10-ride unlimited pass, which means you can board at the last moment on any train without reserving a seat.

It occurred to me....did they by noting this, just advertize a potential idea for future terrorists?

Terrorists are pretty intelligent....I'm surprised they haven't used trains and buses in more attacks

They have in the past...but still ud expect more since it's so easy

I mean shit look how easy it was to pull off the boston bombing

I also read that he lawyered up pretty quickly after the accident and before speaking to law enforcement. Wonder if his "amnesia" is real....

I don't know what happened.....I'll just wait for the evidence to come out and create my memories around it

    Works every time
