Seriously man, the whole institute of marriage is so fucked up I'm beginning to wonder why even bother. I refuse to enter a life bond with someone when it's met with cynicism and uncertainty from the beginning.

If you cannot treat a marriage like a marriage, why get married? Why not just cohabitate?

That's another case of statistics not telling the whole story. Yeah children who are products of divorce are better off because more of them have a father who didn't just bed the mother and bounce. The marriage isn't what maintained the father in the life of the kid the fact that men who get married are more likely to stick around but not indefinitely.

 

Everybody shouldn't be having children anyway. Even married people can turn out to be shitfuck parents.

Make no mistake, I'm a proponent of marriage. I was in one that was everything that I expected and more.

People have a tendency to be a little quick to jump into marriage these days sometimes ignoring the 'red flags' from the jump. If you spend enough time with someone before getting married, you'll usually have a good idea of your compatibility. People need to know how to look past the feeling of love and see reality.

if in a no fault divorce (barring kids) will a person get a pay day of some sort. you know alimony or whatever. if so then that is a fucked up thing. I guess it would get greyish with the assets such as homes and vehicles and commingling of funds.

 

LOL, you know that is something that I noticed as well.

I don't know if its keeping up appearances or not airing your dirty laundry to the whole world, but that shit is often on hush.

Of course there are always exceptions but the overwhelming lot will keep things under wraps.
