Of course, America is very quick to confront everything outside the country and is reluctant to address the problems here. We spread our influence and power to the entire world. And yet, we do not use that power where it's really needed. We would lecture other countries about human rights and we can't seem to practice what we preach.

And these people are often saying, "Don't talk about the politics of our country on foreign soil."
They view this as an act of treason.
Johnny Depp once stated that the U.S. is a young country and hasn't reached the maturity of countries outside of it. He was criticized for that admission in this country.
A lot of people here feel like the old adage, "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
America doesn't want to be viewed as backward, just a country that is capable of handling its business with the same character that fought and won WW1 and WW2.

One of the pilots who were a member of the Red Tails said, "America is not well. But I'll hold her hand."

Even though I have not had the honor of serving this country, I will at least do what I can.

A lot of countries especially in the west know America is backwards especially when a grown man kills a 12 year old and gets away with it just because he is a cop.

There are. But, we don't support them.. So, why should Hollywood make them? That's why it's hard for me to see his point.

He's just doing what many black folks do when they get some money & status : act as if normal shit no longer applies to them. That money buys him an easy out until he's broke.

I can understand where snoop is coming from, but he's forgetting that he isn't the whole world.

Some people's eyes might be opened by a project like this.

I won't watch it, because I don't have the time, plus I know all I need to know about slavery and racism in general. My mind is made waaay up.

Other people might gain something from it tho. If snoop thinks he can do better (with regard to "uplifting" entertainment), he has quite a platform. Put up or shut up, snoop.

What's he giving us? "gin & juice"? "Pimp" nonsense?
