How many of y'all agree with the Australian ultra-right-wing regime's decision to ban Snoop from entry???

BTW, Snoop was last in Australia back in Feb., and he had NO problems then. Seems like this is political, since the regime there is under-the-sewer in the polls, and there will be a general election there late this year. The regime is pandering to the anti-immigrant sentiment there.

Those who disagree with the decision can protest it by emailing the Australian immigration minister. Here's the info:

    Kevin Andrews, Australian immigration minister

Kid, it seems Snoop is in trouble in some great countries like Sweden,UK,and now Oz. Besides the drugs and guns what is the reason for those countries giving him a hard time?

In Australia -- like the US -- there's an ultra-right-wing 'buffoon' (Howard) frontin' the regime. Unlike the US, this is an election year for PM (prime minister is the head of the federal gov't) in Australia. The current regime is under-the-sewer in the polls. The regime decided to score political points by trying to blame hip-hop for Australia's problems -- like the US does -- and pander to the electorate's fears. Hip-hop's popularity came late to Australia. It has blown-up in Australia only over the past few years. Snoop reps hip-hop...so, he was used by the regime for politcal gain. He was last there in Feb....no problems then -- why now all of a sudden??? Snoop never caused any problems while he was there. Also, if Snoop was so evil that he deserved to be banned from a country -- why is he still able to travel freely??? Why isn't he in jail??? It's true Snoop had some legal 'issues' while in the UK and Sweden...but, that has nothing to do with Australia. It's all political, trust me.

I can't wait for the 'buffoon' to get 'kicked to the curb' by his opponent -- Kevin Rudd, from the Labor Party -- when the general election in Australia takes place late this year.

It's interesting how different the point of views can be sometimes.

Given the fact that once you have a criminal record, your chances are slim to zero to get a visa, and if your record contains charges related to drug abuse you can pretty much forget about getting permission to enter a country period, I was wondering why Snoop still enjoyed the privilege to travel around freely, and came to the conclusion that it must have to do with his celebrity status being a successful rapper.

In my opinion it was just a matter of time that him playing against the rules will not be tolerated anymore. That he is now back on court again was probably the straw that broke the camel's back, and he has now to live with the consequences.

Thanks Kid for the info. Lets hope Snoop will be able to visit Oz again. By the way where are the Aussie women on this board?
