You're just fitting the mold that will get you ahead in your town. No big deal. Actions become habits and so on. There is always a game to be played, your town is just more political than others.

Just like your response is only correct on a political level. :smt042

It really depends on the advice. Advice on what to wear, what cologne smells good? Which profile picture you look best in? Sometimes what to text back. If they have any single friends to introduce you to? Can definitely work, and be helpful.

Advice on talking to them in person or how to act? I would definitely not take that advice at all. Then again I have found that when it comes to women its best to just do what works for me individually. I also will say I have heard some terrible advice from other dudes.

My best piece of advice is to just be yourself, do what works for you, and go for the kind of girls you like.

No such thing as level headed woman when it comes to advice on women.
Would you take advice on how to teach from kids or another teacher.
On medicine from a doctor or a patient
From the prey or another hunter.
Can't give advice on something you've never had to do.
Would you entertain advice on child birth from a non medically trained male or a woman whose been through it.
    Same logic applies.

Like the other guy... If that's what you think... It is what it is. This is a message board/forum, I respect that everyone has a right to their opinion, and I'll stop it right there.

LOL! Again, I get that we're all individuals, but I totally didn't expect to catch the attention of an eye roller, and someone who apparently fits people to molds.

I think that I'd listen to all of the above and decipher if the advice made sense for me and my situation. Not every scenario you mentioned would be bad. Ultimately I'm always going to follow my own gut, but man/woman/child/etc, I'd listen to all their advice. Some will be ridiculous, some may be just what I need. You guys joke around like all advice from women, about women, is bs. You always say women don't know what they want, but that's the furthest thing from the truth for most *grown* women. It's a bit narrow minded I think. Personally, I know I can give 100% honest, unbiased advice on women. I think dudes approach is very smart...gender doesn't dictate the truthfulness or quality of advice, regardless of the topic.

My son, if still dating, would absolutely take advice from other women. (I asked him.) I think it's ludicrous to think that a man wouldn't take a woman's advice if it was sound. If I really want to know how a man thinks, I'm sure as heck not going to ask a woman.

If you fix your issues like I fix your posts then maybe you will see some progress.

It's easier to blame everyone else for your negativity, so keep doing that if it suits you. lol

You're a mess. I'm blaming no one and there was nothing negative about the post you "fixed." Stop lowering yourself to the level of some of the other twits on here. You're smarter than that.

any idea how many threads on this forum were started by someone asking for advice? now that should be your answer...both men and women respond...filter the information...take the advice or do what most do...say everyone is crazy and just do what you planned to do all along:grin:

Again we're talking about dating and getting women. Once you're in a relationship sure there's merit but the thing is when you talk about approaching and being successful with women women can't give advise on it. They don't have to do it. It's a skill set and like any other skill set experience trumps all. You can have your abstract ideas or see things from a distance but doing is the only way you really know. I would go to a doctor/nurse for advice about something that doesn't feel right because they have experience they've seen it before numerous times. Like the saying goes "Your googling skills don't match my medical degree"
And grown is incredibly subjective, like I said you women with kids have been slapped in the face with reality on a daily basis so the fantasy other women are chasing doesn't exist and that's why you can appreciate certain things. Life isn't about the perfect ideal where as women who have yet to experience that have built up a fantasy world that would rival Disney.

When I was younger it was a woman who told me that females ALWAYS check a dude's shoes.

Not the brand really, but if your kicks look bummy or are they clean.
Helped me out at the time and was great advice.

A female also told me when a woman asks your opinion, or puts you in a position to lead a date or make a choice for the both of you as a couple, you're better off being DECISIVE. Even if you don't feel like you have a clue.
    Women like that.

The reason I value advice from women is because usually they're gonna tell you where the last dude they were with got it wrong.

So in that sense it's good intel.

It's up to you to decide if the source of that advice is worth listening to.

The key as RaiderLL stated is the woman giving that advice has to be someone you respect as being level-headed.
