should there be std testing before marriage?

    yeah....when a woman gets preggy by another dude the hubby should be able to walk away since its not his.

    the reason they have those foul laws is so that the court system can make money.

    I think it's really so that children have legal parents, whether biological or not. Just like in CA they will rarely terminate parental rights if there are not adoptive parents set up because they won't intentionally make a child an orphan. Children should be taken care of (financially and otherwise) by their family, the responsibility shouldn't be put on the govt.

    Nope, not at all. Just an explanation of the intent of the law.

    As far as all the ideas about having laws to require testing (for whatever reasons), personally I'm not really into having the govt running our lives. Very rarely has it been a good thing when we create or accept more govt control.

    i wouldnt mind failing.

    ill tell my woman "aaahh babe. i lovr u but the state said im too stupid to marry"

    in my mind im saying "thanks state for intruding in my life. u da man. good looking out for a brother"

    *sigh* Humans. Don't need a law to tell them do something someone with common sense would. Get tested for your own good at least.

    I went to the doc before my marriage. Other than some civil liberties issue over being compelled to do it, I don't see what the objection is to testing.
