According to your posts all it takes for anyone to claim that they are hip hop artists is to simply say so or just rap a little. I agree a lot of these people out here doing the music aren't really about hip hop, there's no love or hunger for the art form and despite a lot of bs being said it is an art form. If people can't recognize that then they don't know a thing about hip hop.

Which one did you listen to? There were two versions of Wang Dang Doodle. The one recorded in the 60's and the other in the 80's with Booker T & The MG's (and Blues Brothers guitarist) Steve Cropper. I had heard the Steve Cropper one and thought it was the best version of that song. I even saw a live performance on PBS with Koko Taylor and Steve Cropper doing his thing. Very good show.

 

Yeah but LL and DMC were all from Hollis, Queens...Iggy is from the boonies in Aus, a far cry from Jackson MS.
