Sheryl Crow (Old-School IR)

Sheryl Crow had a long-term affair with musician Greg Phillinganes...who was the keyboard player for Michael Jackson -- and the Jacksons -- when they toured. Other artists he toured with were Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Paul McCarthy, Lionel Richie and many others.

Sheryl tour with Michael Jackson during the 'Bad Tour' as his co-singer during the late-'80s....where she met Greg.

:lol: ...Now that's the Kid that I remember. :wink: I knew that she toured with MJ back in the day but I didn't know she used to kick it with ol' schooler Greg Phillinganes :!: :shock: Thanks for the lol-lo Kid.

 

I remember the song Lazy Nina written by Donald Fagan. It is one of my faves. I did not know he hanged with Cheryl Crow til today. It is a shame she is not dating brothers.

Damn right, she's a cutie. I'd love to see her with a brotha, but remember this is America. She's very well-known, and being from the midwest, people would be generally bothered by it.

 

:idea: But she strikes me as the type that if she fell for another bro after being with one for a while in the past, she wouldn't care as long as she was happy.

 

Not sure if this is true or not, but I read somewhere that my man MJ had a thing for Sheryl back in the day when she toured with him.

 

:idea: Seems like I vaguely remember hearing that too Jodie & I think she said it but it'd make sense now if she didn't feel MJ like that because of dealing with GP around that time. :wink:

 

Guys, do not be naive. Even if Cheryl Crow liked black men, for God's sakes, she's a COUNTRY singer, not an R&B singer. You know very well that the good ol' boys would stop listening to her music if she were to do so much as to praise a black man, let alone declare attraction to one. I know the truth can be sometimes hard to deal with, but you are going to have to eventually.

 

You didn't read my post up at the top. Sheryl was involved with Black keyboard player named Greg Phillinganes during the Michael Jackson 'Bad' Tour in '87. This was in Sheryl's biography -- it's fact!

Yes, in 1987at the very beginning of her career. When she made it big time, did she date a black man? It seems it's you who did not understand what I was saying. I was not refuting the fact that she dated a black man; i was merely saying she won't do it again.

 

:arrow: I feel what you're saying LC but let's just say that with the fact that she's done it before PLUS the fact that she "had" breast cancer :roll: might put things in a whole new perspective for her as far as her happiness & life choices so you just never know... :wink:

Of course you're right, man; this is 2006 but the thing is her audience would/do not see it that way and you know what happens when you do not appease your fanbase.
