She is Not White, She is a Woman, She is Human

Thanks to Athena for bumping this post, and to you blacktiger for the original, what a wonderful post.

I felt that way about my guy from day one, I started to look into the black/white thing after having it pointed out to me by way too many people.

I decided to get more educated, but still when he calls he's just a wonderful man that I care very, very, much for and I love who he is, how funny he is and how wise he is, and how very much he calms me down when I need it and shows me how to have fun in life. He is a man, a very wonderful man and that's what is important.

I know there are some nay-sayers on the forums that dislike this post, such is life. I enjoy it because the OP has evolved from one dimensional thinking (her skin colour) to three dimensional (she's a human - gasp).

We all know there are men out there who will think of us as nothing more than walking Va-J-J's that can do dishes. But there are also men out there who are first or second generation upright and recognize us as human beings - gasp.

It was nice to see a man evolve in this post and get those knuckles off the ground.
-no offense to OP intended.

P.S. we also know that there are women out there who think of men as walking sex toys with wallets - yes I recognize it goes both ways.

 

this post doesn't pertain to me in anywhy..
the same qualities I find attractive in a white woman(pretty face, nice body, easy going personality) are the same qualities a find attractive in a black woman
or latin woman

I've never been color struck...
I'm more beauty struck..

Thank you very much for the kind responses. I truly believe that respect is a two way street between a man and a woman. In an IR relationship it is so important due to the many societal challenges that are thrown at us. The greatest return that a man can get from his woman is her trust, loyalty and respect. I'm by no means a perfect man. I make mistakes and the great thing about the relationship I have with my wife is that she is my greatest critic and she helps me grow. Because she is opposite to me in many ways that it adds challenge to me in adapting to the many twists and turns in our relationship. What many people in our world fail to realize that it is thoses differences that help to cement the bonds between us because it makes us stronger to fight for each other. Remember guys, if you truly love each other you have to respect each other and not take the other for granted. You live for each other and not for the outside world.

Great post and well-deserved praise. It is truly the femininity that WW possess that many of us find so intoxicating, not their skin color.
