This article caught my eye and interest... http://abcnews.go.com/Business/ceos-riding-high-layoffs-cutbacks/story?id=15970985#.T2r4R9VN-8A I know some believe that corporate perks for top executives is necessary to hire and keep top level people... I also know these same companies preach ethics and family, and often subject employees to austere measures to "hold the bottom line" or survive... It's been discussed in thread before, but are CEOs and top level execs sharing in the pain? Can they even feel the pain? :smt102
The 1 percent has never felt a thing and never will. There needs and most of their wants are always met.
Having money, material possessions, and a corporate leadership position doesn't free you of pain. I wouldn't want the stress and pressure of a high level executive position to save my life. Most people are not equipped to deal with the level of anxiety these guys manage on a daily basis. Everything is relative I guess
And just to give you a snapshot of how the 1% feel the pain.... have you forgotten this comment? http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/03/ann-romney-i-dont-even-consider-myself-wealthy/ With so much money in off-shore accounts, even he won't admit to his true wealth..... It must painful to them to miscount....
