Love British accents the most with a lovely Scottish or Irish as close second/thirds. Jamaican accents are very interesting as are some around Texas with that nice drawl. Spanish can be nice...hebrew....russian....ok ok. I like accents.
I love those West Coast accents, with their heavy Spanish influences on the pronunciations. How im blushing when my fiancee speaks in her sexy West Coast accent
Damn homey, I could not disagree with you more. The French woman is my absolute favorite of all time!!!!!!!!!!! I joined to Detroit chapter of the American/French alliance just for that reason. Man did I have a thing for my teacher last year. Dayum!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, the Canadian french speaking lady is my second. British is third....
Australian and Swedish accents are arousing as well. What makes them even more so is the appearance of so many Australian and Swedish women. 8)
Really old thread but I thought I'd bump it . I love American accents and London accents the best... not Cockney, just like Southern England. I hated my ex's Manchester accent after a while, damn drove me nuts. I like any accent different from mine really... Scottish accents don't do a damn thing for me . Think I just like things different from me. I sound stupid saying American but really - any American accent is great . Southern, NY, whatever.
British and Australian accents sound sweet to my ear, as to certain types of Southern U.S. accents. Strong east coast accents are not attractive to me with Bostonian and Brooklyn accents being the worst. I also find certain kinds of Southern Californian accents to be annoying.
The sexiest accent is -my- accent. Though I got a thing for an English accent (mos. def. guys from London, mmm) and Irish..ohhh, Irish accents are so hot. I also love the accents I've heard from guys from French speaking African countries, but only if I can actually understand them. Otherwise it gets frustrating.
Mine is quite similar to yours, I'd imagine. I grew up just over the border of Kentucky, in Southern WV. I noticed a lot of the accents were very similar, especially the really country ones.
Yeah, it'll be there forever. But, I've noticed, the more time you spend with people who speak differently the less pronounced the accent will be. When I'm in Houston my accent is still thick, but nowhere near the level my family has...nor as bad as it is when I'm around them. It's all good, everyone tells me it's cute! *L* So we have a cute accent!
