On the other side, Van Jones just said, "Oprah Is the Queen of the Universe".

Oprah never made a movie with Weinstein, the women who were sexually abused by him NEVER spoke out publicly about it to Oprah, so why would she be expected to know the predatory details of his sex life??

LOL. Conservatives are so funny. You can tell who they perceive as a threat by how hard they attack them when they haven't even declared they're running for office.

Oprah is one of the most popular and respected people not in America, but the world.

If she ran against Trump she would destroy him.
Oprah is seen as a moral human being. Trump is perceived as just the opposite.

Van Jones is right. She is the Queen of the Universe. Oprah is the one who helped Obama get elected to two terms.
You don't think she couldn't turn the same trick for herself???

And you need to be more worried that Trump supported a serial predator of young teenage girls for the U.S. Senate when he was a DA in Alabama, after Trump already knew about the allegations.

By your logic, Gayle King is a 'part of the problem' because she worked with Charlie Rose everyday, and all the female co-hosts who worked with Matt Lauer.

    Try again.lol

    Is that the real Seal?

I'm a get heat for this probably by some people here(which is another reason I try to stay out of politics. I always seem to upset people. lol), but isn't Oprah a neocon?

Hmm.......intresting twist. French Actress Catherine Deneuve along with a hundred other prominent French women have signed an open letter denouncing the #MeToo movement

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/09/movies/catherine-Deneuve-and-others-denounce-the-metoo-movement.html

I kind of think #MeToo's steamrolling nature is what prompted this response. Reasonable people can't help but notice that lumping everything into one big ball of misconduct isn't good for those who stand accused or the accusers.

Trying to steal a kiss comes with context. So does sending messages of a sexual nature if they aren't mutual. They have to be more specific there. Other than that I agree with them. A female makeup artist working at the NFL network accused Michael Irvin of sexual assault stating that he grabbed her around the waist, but the network did an investigation and he was not fired. That tells me they reviewed the CONTEXT. But like I said in another thread with Stan Lee being accused; these accusations when the person makes efforts to not only defend themselves but tell their side of the story are starting to matter, because not too many of these women at the forefront of the #Metoo movement responded to or automatically believed Stan Lee's accusers, the same is going with Tavis Smiley where it is looking like PBS jumped the gun. They are starting to realize that women are and have lied or sensationalized their stories and you can't just believe women if you want this movement to be successful and TRULY help the victims. I would love to see a sit down with these women standing with Catherine Deneuve and some of the #Metoo movement women while they discuss this and get on the same page, I hate seeing disenfranchised groups fighting one another, especially women. Fight the system, not each other.

At least the French women understand there needs to be some kind of proportionality. Euros kiss almost more than they shake hands, so I'm certain it's hard for many of them to recognize an unsolicited kiss as a form of sexual harassment.

People are being blackballed for behavior that legally would charged as a misdemeanor.

How can Oprah be a "neocon" if she helped get Obama elected?

And before you ask, Obama is not a "neocon." Neocons were the largely Jewish guys like Bill Kristol and Mort Zuckerman who banged the drum to go into Iraq after 9/11. Kristol was also the guy who discovered Sarah Palin and brought her to the lower 48.

Yes it is. The Blue Tick next to his name means he's been verified.
    Oprah is likely a Democrat.

"By your logic, Gayle King is a 'part of the problem' because she worked with Charlie Rose everyday, and all the female co-hosts who worked with Matt Lauer."

Once again, l'm going to have to ask you to put your gun away, AB. Stop shooting at me.
    It's SEAL'S. logic, ok?
    Say it with me. Seal's.

I even provided a polar opinion, in Van Jones's. So there.

Now you could always ask me what l think?

But it was YOUR post in this thread, Bliss. Not Seal's. So I'm going to assume the opinion expressed is also your own.
IMO you tried to present a false argument as if their were two differing opinions about Oprah in the #metoo movement, when you know there weren't.

Conservative conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is already posting vids saying Weinstein AND Oprah preyed on women in Hollywood,(his argument being since she knew Weinstein casually, Oprah must have known about his sexual proclivities and how he treated a handful of actresses), which is a reflection of the Right wing's fear of Oprah ever running for POTUS.

Oprah has I'm sure legitimate policy and personal issues to critique her about, but this hair trigger response to the mere IDEA she might run for office is ridiculous.

Compared to the man who currently lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., it's going to be hard for anyone to look worse standing next to Trump.

Well daahlink, l don't listen to "Alex Jones". Sorry.

Still you did not ask me my opinion, you continue to ass-ume it.
Funny though, how you bypassed SEAL's actual ownership. It's preposterous to make the claim that whatever you post that others say on a topic is your own words. Are you high?
This is a Hollywood sexual harassment thread. Seal's comment alleging 'complicity' was big news yesterday. He called out the Big O, FFS. Of course, now if anyone else posted it, you'd fooking clam up, fer sure.
And Yet.... you bitchass-whine at me because you "feel" l actually said it. Lol! Michael Wolff much? Do stop.

Now to what l ACTUALLY think.
I think she likely heard stories, just like people said of Cosby. People knew.
Letterman knew about Harvey, FGS. Important People knew, AB. Wake up.

People knew about Matt. And Charlie. Those tears were fake. They cried because they couldn't believe CBS and NBC finally had the balls to fire them.

Bottom line - Oprah can't run on the #METOO (against Harvey) platform, for the Presidency... She will have to find a different cause. Her, and lyin Meryl.
Unless she puts America first, she won't win. Hillary tried that Women's angle, it won't work, unfortunately. Ask Bill why.

More proof of misandrist filled in this #MeToo movement

    http://www.tmz.com/2018/01/12/james-franco-accuser-violet-paley-tweets-plans-ruin-someones-life/

They were in a consensual relationship when the incident took place.

Also the Director of the movie where a woman accused him of taking off the "plastic genital guard"(whatever that is. lol.) said she is lying and have video proof. This is what happens when you let the wrong people hijack the movement. Stan Lee is coming with proof as well. This beginning to get messy for these women.

You know you basically confirmed what I said originally??
You reposted the meme from SEAL because you AGREED WITH HIM.
Like Seal suggested, because Oprah knew Harvey Weinstein casually, if at all, she should have known the facts about his sexual predation of Hollywood actresses??

I hardly know who's fucking where I work. To suggest Oprah, Gayle, etc., had explicit intimate knowledge of these men and how they acted towards other women is wishful thinking.
The only way you as a 3rd party really KNOW in this type of situation is by speaking to one of the victims. Otherwise it's just rumor and opinion.
And what are you on Meryl Streep about?? She doesn't flow in Hollywood circles or surround herself with younger actresses. Weinstein never hit on her, so how would she know??
Just like Matt Damon didn't know.
That's the point of the #metoo movement. Before now, the victims didn't speak out so no one really knew for sure.
Why can't Oprah speak out against sexual harassment??lol No one ever said it was campaign issue. Everyone should be against sexual harassment in the workplace.

As for HRC not getting the majority of the (White) woman's vote, that's not her problem.
If you as a voter weighed the facts and thought we as a nation would be better off with Trump instead of Hillary, I would question your judgement skills in choosing political leaders.

When you tell others to automatically believe any woman who accuses a man of sexual harassment without any sort of investigation, you open the door for the crazy bitter chicks to extract their pound of flesh over lies.
