I messaged one of the producers of the soon-to-start shooting SATC movie about casting a brotha in the lead for some hott IR action with one of the girls....she responded, but it wasn't what I wanted to read. Trying to get Hollywood to listen is like trying to talk to a brick wall...either they don't get it -- or, they don't wanna get it. The Kid Rasta 8)
Glad you tried Kid. The Nixon and Underwood episodes were good and I wished it gotten longer. Hollywood will never change and it would take a brother who is livin large to fund a good IR flick.
If I remember correctly, it took several write-ins from fans in order for a brotha to be cast. Apparently, that part of NY has a significant number of IR-bm/ww couples. (I don't know; never been to NY.) But that show was produced by Darren Star, the same cat who did Beverly Hills 90210. And if ya'll remember, there was pretty much no IR on that show. But that's how Hollywood's doing it these days, on movies and TV. They're starting to put bw with wm more often. But for brothas, either we go solo or we're not on screen all together. That's the way racist middle America wants it. They'd love to be anywhere where black men aren't.
They weren't able to overcome US slavery before it got out of hand. Many Africans still live in what many Euros see as uncivilized. Some Africans sold their own people at the expense of their country/culture's demise. Thus, racist Europe and America(Europe 2.0) hate blacks with a burning passion.
Basically, what this all means...is that once again the brothas are left out in the cold by Hollywood. If there's a new development with this flick...I'll keep y'all posted. The Kid Rasta 8)
