Very old quiet big catholic church, though am no longer catholic, but that is where I get my peace when I am down in my knees in quiet church, speaking to my creator.

These are some terrific responses I'm getting from all of you. But I think there is some level of commonality here: Some element of nature or place of calm tend to be the centerpiece of your seeking harmony through the ills of life.

We're a restless species after all. Yet, we're resilient enough to overcome and cope with the hell we tend to undergo in our daily lives.

This is true. Nature is a huge calming force in my life.

I think it all sums it up to childhood. Nature calls on childhood curiosity. This realm that parents tell you to stay away from when you are a child. But when we are older, we venture in that place and marvel at what we see. Simple, yet amazing things. Places that are alive inspire us to be alive.

What a great point. Never thought about it that way.

When we are children, we see a tree, green grass, flowers, fallen leaves, a cloud a clear blue sky, the sun, moon and the stars. We see birds in flight, squirrels in the trees and other animals. Insects of all sorts. This is the live show Mother Nature has for us as children if we sit still, listen and watch with eyes open. This is the first communion with Mother Nature and God.

I was referring to when we see it first as children.

I still am fascinated by nature. I had not taken a hike in the woods for some time. At my old job, I sometimes saw wild green Parrakeets in the trees. Then I saw an Iguana at least five feet in length. It disappeared in the bushes and I never saw it again.

That's after a 5 hour hike, straight uphill lol. Halfway up the second tallest mountain in the province. By the time we got to the halfway point, and had to decide to keep going (With no ability to turn back) or not, we decided to turn around. It was getting a bit late, and we didn't have enough water... didn't think the hike would be that long,

But the scenery.... amazing. I have a group of friends coming next summer to head there again, turn it into a camping trip. Come join! :p

That has my name written all over it! There is something so incredibly relaxing about some down n dirty exercise in the fresh air. Makes me want to ditch these heels, put on my running shoes and head to our local mountain trails!

Looks absolutely beautiful! Have fun on that next trip baby girl!

I love this so much I made it my cover photo on FB. If it has to snow, I'd rather bundle up and enjoy it here.

Late night, an empty grocery store, and a motorized shopping cart.
