In 1986, the Immigration Reform and Control Act was passed, making it illegal to hire or employ illegal aliens. For years, the U.S. government has been slow to act to enforce the law. Now, Secretary of Labor under Barack Hussein Obama, Hilda Solis, is featured in a in a public service announcement promising government

I'm insanely frustrated with Obama. I know he has a ton of potential to be a great leader/president BUT he has surrounded himself with so many nutjobs that I am fed up. He has also alienated a lot of people and seems very distant to the American people.

Wouldn't that pretty much eliminate the motivation of businesses to hire illegals? Thus stemming the tide of illegals into the country? And you're opposed to this?

Because if you really didn't want illegals coming here, making it impossible for them to be paid less than Americans would be an excellent method of doing so.

As long as they get paid more than they do in mexico...can buy houses...start businesses...own guns..become licensed to carry..recieve social services and BIRTH RIGHT CITIZENSHIP...they will continue to pour across.....just like the elites want.

But that's the thing... if they can't pay illegals less, there's no incentive for businesses to hire them. It's a hassle, doing anything illegal. If you have to pay everyone the same, it's easier to just employ citizens.

So, I would expect that this means they could not get paid here more than they could in Mexico, because they couldn't get jobs.

So wouldn't that be a good thing?

LMAO! She's actually correct on this one babe. US businesses hire illegals because they'll work for quite a bit less than US citizens have to be paid. There's a lot of off the book crap that goes on, and as long as it's to the business owner's advantage, they'll keep doing it. Now I don't honestly know how anyone expects to really crack down on that, because no one has time to watch every single employer, but in theory if they actually did have to pay everyone the same minimum wage, and offer the same benefits, it would make hiring illegals less attractive as an option.
