Good try?? At what? Yes, I know the Hope Solo thread - it's why I just mentioned it to you in reference to serenading in general: "which some of the folks here said was a corny-assed way to get a woman's attention.(remember that thread?, lol)"
They felt about serenading being corny/embarrassing (which you had no issue with) as you do about Seal's declarations (which you do have an issue with)..that was my point. it seems things are only corny when you think they are.

He's ONLY publicly professing it because he was ALREADY scheduled to promote his new album. Heidi's timing is terrible and somehow I think either calculated or very stupid.

He's on Ellen because he JUST appeared and discussed how their marriage is as tight as ever.. What do you expect him to say to the hosts now;

"Hey don't ask me shit about my wife filing on a marriage that we and so many people revered as 'real and perfect", cause I'm here to promote a CD of covered LOVE songs that I want your audience to go spend their hard-earned $ on, so just ignore all that other shit, especially the rumor that I was a mean 'ol bastard to her..." :-?

I saw that conspiracy earlier and its only TMZ throwing it up..I would have bought it except her "sources" have let it creep out he has a bad temper...that works against him, not for him. Seal is just doing damage control right now.

 

I consider myself to be a very calm man, exerting the least amount of energy as I need (which in turn makes you focus on the more technical aspects of life instead of the physical). I credit this thinking to bjj, which in turn gives credit to the older, more mature mind of the aging fighter, who while losing speed and strength, relies on wisdom and technique.

you can see why practioners say that to be good at bjj, is to make you a better person. It's not just some crap people make up.

That aside, I think seal could benefit from yoga or bjj. Anything that focuses on breathing and holding positions.

German newspapers also report today Heidi still has her wedding band on the finger. They interpret it as a positive sign for chance of a reconciliation and make a feature of the fact there has never been an official confirmation Heidi was seeing a divorce lawyer. :-?

From my peronal point of view I must say I would be delighted if they stay together. Heidi is still an international high-level celeb with a very successful casting show on german television.
People need role models, particulary younger ones. In my experience the relationship between Heidi and Seal is definitely such a role model. They influenced over almost the last eight years especially WW in all German-speaking countries to see IR as desirable and tempting.

That´s true, I just wanted to say that Heidi and Seal were the first IR in such a public focus in and around Germany as far as I remember. Since they were together more and more (particulary young) WW started to discuss how it would be to date a black guy. Many of them decided to try it out and enjoyed it. Without Heidi, it wouldn´t be such a big topic over the last years, that was my point.

I absolutely agree with you. WW with real class don´t think this way and I´ve always tried to date only those who belong to this group. If I´ve been always successful with it, I hope so but in some cases I´m not sure retrospectively...

 

Dressman, can you find those articles of German women dating brothers? Here in the States In Touch a German owned magazine said Seal was a cheater,US,and People had cover stories of Seal and Heidi. Saw a cover of them on Bild two or three days ago.

 

Heidi not only had one child with Seal but two more! That is amazing.

I'm surprised about the temper bit, because everything about his music makes him sound like he just came out of an ashram or something.
