Well...the sequel to Save the Last Dance is being shot, and will be released straight-to-DVD. Bad idea! It should have been released in the theatres. None of the original cast members are in the sequel -- mistake again! A Polish actress named Izabella Miko plays the love interest. well they probably know w/o any of the original cast members, it isn't going to be a big box office hit.. Question is.. are they using the same characters?
OMG!!!! Okay so forgive me I am so excited! I LOVED the first one and being a dancer going to Julliard is a BIG deal and I always loved the whole idea behind this movie. Yeah its simple and not very deep but I do love this story...so I will definately buy it...but too bad it isn't the original characters...
Well one reason why the original cast won't be back is cause they've moved on and would want a phat raise for this one. The first one was not a big budget flick to start with. Also Julia Styles is at NYU now and hasn't done much acting lately. I'll check it out on DVD or when it show's up on On Demand.
Yeah I watched it and it's definitely not that good. The actors aren't as hot and the story is really not that carved out like it was in the first part. What I also think is missing the most was a good song. I still like the Ice Cube song from the first part, it gets you moving but the 2nd part has lame music.
Too bad the studio didn't make the sequel a moderately-budgeted feature film released in the theatres. That way, they could have gotten a better cast. The Kid Rasta 8)
