I'm sure TDK has a social theory as to why kids behave this way

Doesn't take a genius to realize that poorer kids are more prone to...certain actions....that more affluent ones aren't

I think violence breeds violence, and violent communities breed violent children, but the girl the bra who kept kicking and stomping the girl after she was passed out on the floor...IMO she's got more going on than violent tendencies.

If someone didn't intervene, that girl in the bra seems like she was perfectly fine with stomping the life out of that poor girl's limp body.

It's hard to say if someone is being psychologically scarred and damaged by their community/environment, or if they had psychopathic tendencies already hardwired in their DNA.

I too believe some people are genuinely born bad, which is scary as hell if you've ever run across someone like that; they come from a normal home life and their siblings are normal, but they're that one person who just has an evil streak in them.

It's like pitbulls, they can be the most perfect family dogs in the world, but if you raise them to fight and kill, they're too dangerous to have roaming the neighborhood or be let off the chain.

So, at least for pits, there's something in their ancient DNA that makes them horrific fighting dogs and aggressive animals in general, but their DNA isn't destiny.

Anyway, all those girls need some time behind bars, maybe some of them would grow up out of a mindset that it's okay to collectively jump another female and beat her unconscious.

Also there's a difference between being evil and someone who has a problem controlling and moderating their anger.
Some individuals who are normally under control can get to the point where they're visibly angry and they have a difficult time acting rationally.

I rarely get so angry that I don't know how I'm going to react in a given situation.
But some people aren't like that, their anger overwhelms them.

    Funny you mention this, Raider.

I was just having a conversation with my son on this very debate. The issue of this younger generation and why they are so desensitized when it comes to hurting one another and violence in general. Why do people enjoy spectating while people hurt each other? Why don't people intervene and try to gain control of a dangerous situation?

My son told me they just enjoy watching. It's entertaining...

In this case, it is understandable by a person would be fearful of stepping in to try to gain control of a very dangerous situation but the fact is these kids don't care about anything anymore. Few and at between. Blame it on several things, TV, movies, famous entertainers who portray the dangerous lifestyle, music... The list goes on.

Whether or not you raise your kids to be responsible human beings who take care of their elders and who strive hard to be good students in school to become successful in life, they are still influenced by society and their peers. They are judged, criticized and held to their own standards and we as parents have to make it our priority to stay connected with our children and steer them in a positive direction. Talk to your kids, check up on them from time to time. Invade their privacy.

The world is changing before our eyes and unfortunately situations as deplorable as this story happen every day.

You are right. The issue of desensitization has been around since biblical times. I think we evolve over time and it just seems to me that nowadays people are so evil and losing their damn minds.

I remember being fascinated by the "zombie" man eating another person on the highway and the standoff...

I'm just saying negativity, craziness, suspense and drama is what draws people in.

For example the dc sniper. Well I actually lived through that on a personal level because it was local but these story book experiences we are eye witness to facscinate and keep us enthralled.

    Very true

As much as we think we've evolved or reached some new level of humanity because another edition of the iPad Air was released, it just goes to show you that we are still primal beings with a need to get off to violence

I meant gotdamn how else can you explain how 'the purge' got the green light for a sequel lol

When i was growing up in England our teachers used the cane to whip us and were very strict disciplinarians. When i went to boarding school at 12 years old i had FIVE level of seniors ahead of me and we were disciplined anytime we misbehaved and you wouldnt dare talk back at your senior let alone a teacher. I went to New York for the fist time with my family in 1984 and was there till 1988 and i realised even then that America was different. Kids could talk back to teachers and nobody was ever failed in an exam and all students were passed as a whole unlike England where you would repeat a class if you didnt do well and thereby becoming a junior to your colleagues. Americans also did not go to boarding school till they had finished high school at 18 and left for college so that fear of authority wasnt there.
Then came the human rights, child rights and all other rights which i must admit is not a bad thing but can sometimes be overreaching. You spank your child a little and Child Protective Services are knocking at your door and you will be threatened and told your child would be taken away form you. Kids got to realise how powerful they were and would misbehave and even insult their parents and teachers, knowing that any attempt to discipline them will cause them to call CPS and they will be ok. The overreaching is what has caused this degeneration among the youth of today. I know the older generation have been whooped on the butt by big mama( the african-americans would relate to this) and aint nuthin' you could do about that but its different this time.
My Father once gave me a good hiding for being a loudmouth and talking back at my mother and my older sister quietly called CPS or whatever they were called in 1987 and they came to our house. My Father flashed his Diplomatic card and told them he was an African Diplomat and he would discipline his child the African way so they should fuck off and they quietly went since he has diplomatic immunity.
This deranged teenager who has been arrested for this savage act has been in jail more than 10 times since she tuned 16 and she would be 17 later this year and is also a single mother. She has tried to stab her brother and allegedly punched her Grandma in the face before.
Jail should be her abode for a long time with some possible injections to slow her down to semi -retard status when she gets out.

When I was in the corrections academy, we were told that men who work in an institution for women was, at best, a risky proposition. The female inmate s were a lot more clever than the men and if a male officer looked at them the wrong way, they were in trouble. And if a fight between female inmates occurred, they better go in with more than one person. The female inmates don't need weapons when they fight like the men do. The female inmates ARE weapons. They say it's like standing between two tigers. I guess that is why no one stepped in. We, as a society just want to see blood and people don't care anymore and find some solace in violence, even if we don't mean it. Or do we? People are bored and they want to see some kind of excitement. A fight is just one of those things. And if they can get involved, it becomes something else.

I don't see anything wrong with enjoying sports that can be seen as violent. I think the psychosis is in not being able to differentiate between violent sports and violence in ones personal life. Just because I enjoy watching UFC doesn't mean I'm planning on cage fighting the chick at Carl's jr who gets my order wrong. Some people lack the capability to differentiate what they see on tv from real life.

You're forgetting the blood thirsty crowds who stand around and watch people fight in the streets

God I remember how big the crowds used to be when people fought in high school

Yea the crowds were huuuuge in hs! Really formed my standards early on as to how I feel people should behave. I've said before, people standing around watching an unfair fight will always be pussies in my bk. If you're watching someone get beat down and you don't step in to help, shame on you. Even in hs my friends weren't down with that. They'd be quick to break shit up when it's clear the fights already over.

    People watching others get jumped

People standing around laughing when a cop gets beat up by some thug

And now....as posted in the link......people standing around egging someone on (in real life this time, as opposed to the frequent internet suicide trolls) to jump off a building, while filming the ordeal

    God save the queen...
