If anything, it's more about the fact that most people won't accept it.

If I did go to church, the place would burn down as soon as I walk through the door ...

So, no point in going I guess.:smt042:smt030

I think thats why my facebook status says "When I smile I send shivers down the Devil's spine ....

I don't think someone should have to go to church to show that they believe in God or whoever. Damn sheeples, always listening to another person and never trying to get their own ideas of what something may mean. Just following along with someone else's ideas. People need to think for themsleves, but I doubt that will happen.

I happen to agree with you Pink that church attendance isn't necessary to believe in or worship God. I also detest sheeples. However I do go to church and I do think for myself. In fact I think it's my responsibility to question everything and not just accept someone else's interpretation. I realize a lot of people don't do that, and I think that's sad because they really are missing the whole point.

Basically I think it's important to believe and have faith. If you're doing that then I don't think God cares if you pray in church on Saturday, or Sunday, or in your closet any other day of the week.

I just said it was a terrible excuse to avoid it.

Granted I used to go to church, but they were so pushy about their ideas and if you weren't thinking like them they looked down on you. Just kinda ruined me from going to any period. Don't want to experince that bull again.

That's not all churches sweetie. I've been to several like that, I just don't go back. That's what I like about the one I attend here, they are not judgmental and intolerant. You just have to keep looking till you find a good fit.

I know. I haven't been back to any of them.

My best-friend and I both hate churches who push beliefs, so we've been searching for one we like that doesn't. We found one, but it's at the south end of our county and we're at the north end ... 40 miles is a long way to drive just for church though.

Pedophiles I can understand them going to hell. Long story, and I'm not going there. Not today.

But gays? While some may think it is wrong, everyone deserves to have someone, wether its the opposite sex or the same. Who are WE to judge who someone else falls in love with?

You see that sums up my thoughts on the whole going to hell topic. It's not our place to determine that. If you believe in God, then you know it's up to Him. I am a Christian, and I do try to live my life according to Christian principles, however I'm human and so at times I fail. I do not believe that simply stating you're a Christian, or being a 'good person' ensures entrance to Heaven. That decision will be made when you die and you're held accountable for everything you've done in this life. I would never be so presumptuous as to think I'm definitely going to Heaven, and I think people who state they are should take a step back and reconsider. I'd estimate my chances at 50/50, just like everyone else.
