"Many of the African respondents said they: Avoided using the Moscow metro Were also careful to avoid crowded public places Did not go out on Russian national holidays or on days when there were football matches " I couldnt stay in a constant fear of being attacked. This is fucked up
maybe south africa and russia should engage in a trade... russia would gladly take those poor whites from south africa and those africans who live in oppressed russia, go to south africa, where opportunities for african blacks are getting better..... problem solved!!!!
I meant Black South Africans are xenophobic towards other Black africans. Read this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3153461.stm
I was there in January and the xenophobia is all too palpable. Other Congolese who live there compained and told to be very careful of South Africans--especially the Zulus and the "Tsotis". From what I've heard, black South Africans have a massive inferiority complex to begin with and they mostly complain about foreigns coming to ther country and "stealing their women" and their jobs.
Good to see that you recognise this ! Its not just European countries who exploit. The more powerful always exploit the weaker.
I've been to Cape Town, and Jo Berg. It seems many in Jo Berg were a bit uptight about seeing us Black Americans in their country, jealousy I presume, but in Cape Town, I/we were well received as Black Americans. I met, and do still have good "Colored" friends there. The word "Colored" is actually somewhat politically correct in S.A., it's a word that is part of the social construct. Coloreds would be anything from Southeast Asian to biracial black mixed with white. Blacks, and coloreds aren't really the best of buds, because typically, Coloreds were treated better than blacks under Apartheid.
