Russian Women

On another thread there was mentioned that Russian women are so racist they will not date brothers. The example of the hooligans in Moscow and other racist events like the beating of one Black male in Russia describes the state as intolerant. I remember years back reading one of those Russian Mail Order brides catalog and some of those women wanted a White male. As for me I read a lot about Russia and its history with brothers. Mostly it is positive than negative especially during the time of the Tzars and Soviets. After the Soviet government fell some of the feelings toward Blacks grew negative and the end result is some places are not safe for a Black person to walk alone especially at night. So I hope for replies.

Don't know how things are in Russia, but in my city, the Russians(Well, the Eastern Europeans in general) tend to date within their group, other Eastern Europeans. Can't recall ever seeing a Russian girl dating a black dude or anyone else who wasn't white. I don't know how they view other races since they tend to not be shit talkers like everyone else.

Although, one of my friends posted a status update on facebook saying "I just saw a Russian guy and a black chick dating. Holy shit!" or something like that.

 

I'm part of a pretty huge network of Russian people around the net. And honestly, if you want a decent answer, I can give you my two cents on the matter. For better understanding, fromrussiawithlove can better elaborate on everything.

When you read that article about Russian women and black men, it was around 2004 if I'm not mistaken, so it's fairly archaic. From my personal experiences, the ones I've encountered, there are a lot of Russian women who do have their fair share of interests towards black men. Why? There are numerous reasons ranging from attitude and physical attributes, which are most obvious.

Also, it depends on where you go. Places like Moscow, Siberia, Voronezh, Perm, and probably Stary Oskol, they are generally more friendly due to a diverse environment and they are big areas. But should you travel to more remote, ghetto areas, you'll encounter some unfriendly people who will more or less kill you. It's pretty ironic because Africans were actually integral to Russian history. Alexander Pushkin as a prominent name in Russian history. And also, Paul Robeson was welcomed in great arms. Of course, this is all propaganda in many respects, but based on the Africans who live in Russia, they felt much safer back then than now. Surely, Africans were welcomed, but Stalin implemented certain laws that prohibited interracial relationships between Africans and Russians.

However, ever since WWII, a lot of racial tensions has grown, starting with a few Nazi-influenced Russians who are basically more pissed off with the economic woes and the issues involving Chechnya among many. Sure, in the 90s, Putin helped build back the economy, but it's still suffering from economic disarray and the people are still frustrated, so the anger still continues to linger. Fast forward to 2010, race relations and interracial relationships between Russian women and African men are still so few, but the attitudes have improved a lot.

 

Russians are really cool and down to earth in my experience, seriously!

In the 60's Dr Kwame Nkrumah my president sent a lot of my countrymen to russia to study medicine and other science related courses 65% of them got married to russian women and some came back to GHANA with them so i guess russian women liked black men back in the day.

Like I said from a previous thread some Russian women liked brothers especially during the rule of the Tzars and Soviets. Paul Robeson's son married a Russian woman as well as the jockey Jimmy Winkfield.
