Actor/Comedian Robin Williams was found dead in his home today. He was 63. There is a suspicion that it was suicide. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/08/11/robin-williams-dead-at-63/
I am greatly saddened that this talented actor is gone from this world. Even more upsetting that he was battling severe depression. He was such a joy to watch come to life on screen and always brought his characters to life in a way that only the greatest actors and actresses can. And that smile and the joy that shined through his eyes, just terrible to hear he may have taken his own life... May he find and rest in peace.
Very sad news, depression is such a serious and dangerous disease. The Survivors remains one of my favorite movies of his, if you have not seen it check it out, very funny. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086397/
WOW!!! I just saw him in The Butler. He was such a multi-talented actor and comedian. He could keep a party going for hours. When he played Popeye, he nailed that character. It was a pleasure growing up and seeing him in Mork & Mindy on tv. But depression is no laughing matter. Thank You, Robin. May You Rest In Peace.
$50 Million in bank and he kills himself He must have gotten a terminal cancer diagnosis... He signed on to do Ms Doubtfire 2 RIP...
Terribly sad news. I've always been a big RW fan; he was one of my favorite comedians. I never expected to hear this horrible news, but in light of his struggles with depression, alcohol, and drugs over the years it didn't come as a surprise. Even as funny as he was and as upbeat as he seemed to be, you could see the sadness and pain in his eyes. My thoughts and prayers go out for his family and others who loved him.
Very sad... Who didnt love him in Mrs. Doubtfire. And Dead Poets Society... loved his Carpe diem quote in it. So much was blessed to him...which is why severe depression is so scary. We are all vulnerable. May he finally rest at peace from his mental torture.
Man, it's sad to see the amount of posts on various sites that seem to have no appreciation, concern or understanding of what depression is and how much pain people who commit suicide are in. They act like it's some childish temper tantrum that he could have just gotten over. I just hope he knew how much happiness he brought to so many people through his work. It's sad.
i was absolutly shocked, when i read this last nite. it was just the day earlier i told a friend that i think he s one of the greatest talents ever and strange, it feels like a personal loss. i cant count the times that man made me laugh and cry and i thank him for every one of them. one of my absolute favourites:
My friend text me yesterday about it. I saw the text and was shocked. So I immediately went on MSN.com - if a celebrity dies, I don't believe it until I see it on that site. My daughter and I just watched Aladdin last week. I'm deeply saddened by this news. He wasn't just Genie, though. He had so many amazing movie roles. And I LOVED The Crazy Ones, and was sad to see it canceled. May he find the peace he couldn't find in life. RIP Robin. You will be sorely missed. A light has been extinguished way too soon. A talent that can't be duplicated.
