No shit No shit. damn. :smt076 I own a couple records of her. How is Sheila E these days? I would have put 1K into any serious effort to help her. Your timing is bad, internet.
Sheila E is still performing. She suffered serious health issues. Cardiac arrest. Like Vanity, she, too became a born-again Christian. But she still plays those timbales like she did back in the days.
From what I understand, she totally severd ties with everyone from those days. No contact whatsoever by her choice. No one even knew she needed money like that. Pretty much the only people who knew she had a Gofundme page up were people that knew her through the church. The public wasn't alerted that I know of. At least not in any meaningful way. I'm not sure we can blame Prince if he had no idea she was in this much need. For all we know he very well could have offered her money over the years and she may have turned it down because she thought his money was a product of sin or evil. That's how deep she was in her religion. I heard her say once she would not accept a kidney transplant because she was expecting God to grow her a new one(s) in her body. I'm not sure how serious she was when she said this, but I saw and heard her say it on a video of a surmen or speech she gave at a church. She seemed sincere and steadfast in her belief that God would heal her.
Well now, Tam might not have to hurl those bricks after-all....If Samson's testimony is credible, then I stand to be corrected and recant my sentiments about Prince... It is factual that many individuals of notoriety, when they have a spiritual epiphany, have been known to withdraw into seclusion......such might have been the case with Vanity....
Well, God did heal her. She was obviously miserable in her previous life, that she turned to God to renew it. God may have indeed extended her life - we know she was on the path of destruction and through finding God, resulted in her living many more years. Clearly her body was the least of her concern, with her spritual love of God being her main one. One thing's for sure, is that when she died, she died feeling loved, even if she was alone.
