    He is one of the greats of Baseball one of the fraturnity of Black Baseball players who met Jackie Robinson and others.

    "Cubs denied Ernie Banks the chance to become batting coach or on field manager"

    This is what Jessie Jackson implied in one of many Eulogies for Ernie Banks Funeral Service today, his birthday.

    Never saw him play, only started following Pro sports in 1977. Missed Gayle Sayres, Mike Ditka, Bobby Hull, and Dick Butkis too.

    So sad, He would have been a good Manager too. If only the "Man" would only give him the chance.
