Well for one thing, it's barbaric and it's basically on par with torture. Rape is horrific, demoralizing crime and it destroys you inside and out. No matter what someone is in jail for, no one deserves that. No one. On the other hand, I'm also against capital punishment for a whole host of different reasons. The criminal justice system should serve it's purpose of keeping criminals out of society and that's pretty much it. All the extra consequences are unnecessary.
