This is why we can't trust any politicians. Instead of dealing with the problems Americans are worried about they play little bullshit games.

For the first time in my entire life, I'm very ashamed to be American myself. This is not what I grew up to love this country, perhaps that it's time I move to the UK for the best.

All this bullshit has to stop.

We'll see what happens. I think that the Prez should be emboldened to be more radical and outspoken. His enemies have a slight advantage, but instead of shrinking into accommodationism, he should be going toe-to-toe: challenge them on exactly what their specific platforms are, and how they would be implemented. It's not enough to just 'repeal' the health-care reform, banking reform, etc.; what are you going to replace it with? Step up or shut up. Detroit is now an island, politically, in Michigan. Newly elected GOP governor, atty. general, secretary of state, GOP now dominates the state legislature's senate and house.

'In an interview with National Journal, Mitch McConnell removed any doubt that the Republican Party is totally devoid of ideas and is totally focused on making sure that our president fails.

In the past, Republicans had the decency to at least pretend they had something good for the country, even if it turns out that their plans and policies were unmitigated disasters. But now they're not even making the pretense. It's now Obamahate and nothing more all day, every day. I honestly never thought I'd see the day that they'd come out and admit it.
Mitch McConnell under fire for saying top priority is making Obama one-term president'
    By James R. Carroll • jcarroll@courier-journal.com • October 26, 2010

WASHINGTON — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell came under sharp attack from the White House and Democrats Tuesday for saying that his top priority in the next Congress is to ensure that President Barack Obama serves only one term.

The Kentucky Republican made the statement during an interview with National Journal. But it’s a variation on a line he has been using as he has stumped the country on behalf of Republican candidates in advance of the Nov. 2 midterm election.

“The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president,” he said in the interview.

“It’s a deeply disappointing message that, regardless of the outcome of this election, political gridlock and political gamesmanship is what the American people have to look forward to over the next two years,” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters.

“The job of the president and the job of any senator or any member of the House after this election is going to be solving the problems of this country, of which we know there are quite a few that need to be addressed,” Gibbs said.

Both parties are a mess to say the least but, the fact that all of this power grabbing is done to put political parties and their corporate backers over the needs of the nation is appalling. We need to find constructive ways to force big corporations from our political process.

Boycotts are the only thing they'll understand. The only ballots are dollars and Americans are the world's biggest consumers so we have a shit load of votes we just have to choose better. The politicians don't care about us at all.

The plans will blown Republicans in their faces. They were hoped that President Obama serve only one term. That means that he will get another term coming 2012. No doubt about it. He will win it all the way.

If you're down to choosing between the lesser of two evils...you become evil yourself.
